I would say to show the racers. The showing circuit is getting bigger again and with next year adding the Edinburgh and a big show in Gretna it looks like its getting even better for showing a race team of pigeons.

I am 24 and have bad pigeon lung. Not stopping though. Wear my aircap mask in the hut and a heavy face mask in the show scene. Not had problems so hopefully I can carry on without a problem

The shows in the winter. Real buzz when another fancier appreciates your pigeon with giving it a card and maybe even a red one. Also the breeding time. Hoping theres a champion going to come out one of the nest boxes

Wood pigeon. Will be your best friend now. We had a young dove that homed to our loft when it was very young. Then it started nesting in my garden tree for 2 years. Think hawk got it

I used to keep my racers for show only purposes but will be racing a few this coming year. Think showing the pigeons is a fantastic hobby and one that racing minded only men seem to turn there noses up at. Not all just some. It takes a lot of time and effort to get pigeons into show qualtiy condition and winning red ticket is fantastic feeling. I know at the end of the day its only one mans opinion but the fact is, to win at any show either local or national takes a good bit of work. But my advice as never be scared to take on the big names in the showing world. All there to be beat. Show racers...Racers or Fancy breeds.
