Shows need support from the Racing lads and Show lads.... Some racing men sadly want it all. They want to race and win in summer then in winter they want to turn up at shows and win again! Dont realise how much time and effort it takes to get the birds in tip top show condition! Just want to shout the old DIPPED shout! Shows are for everyone.... So let people do it and not feel bad when winnin/taking tickets.

Yeah I agree Ian.... Should cater for all. Not just certain people. Flown for racers.... likliest for unflown/stock..... and the Show classes for the Show racers. Dont write likliest to win racing or anything just have it as a handling class. Judge picks bird he likes in hand

Yeah but the point is that some people want it all.... If people want to show what ever kind of bird then let them! Why moan? If the judge picks it because its best looking then thats his opinion. If the judge picks a bird because it has all the qualities of a bird he'd fly national then thats his opinion. It is one mans opinion. But all the moaning about this and moaning about that is totally unfair on the guys who put 100% into there birds. I spent a fortune on birds and it costs me a bomb to feed and compete at shows. When I was at a show the other week with 8 birds I won both classes, took 6 cards. Then when they came with prizemoney I told them to keep it as I was just there for a day out and catch up. Should I be punished because I bought in good looking birds!? Now 3 years of putting best looker to best looker has resulted in a team of great lookers. I enjoy having a loft full of my good lookers. Its a joy to see! So do I pack in because a couple poeple moan?? NOPE I just let them say what they like and move on to next show. But to come on moaning when the guys are trying to start up a show is a disgrace! Let the moaners go to the trouble and expense of having a big show, let them see how much time and effort goes into it. I am happy just to see a big show back in lothians and fife. And I applaude the guys behind getting it back. All the best with the show..... And sadly I wont be there but I hope its supported and becomes annual

Hard life george.... At end of the day how many birds will be in channell class?? Boys got cleaned out snfc this season! The organisers will want there to be 500 birds at least so they cater for the men that will bring birds and fill pens. Racing man turning up with 5-6 birds is all good but won't make show success. As for dipped then that's your opinion on birds but anything good looking is dipped in your eyes! Need to learn its a show! Show is for best looking and best handling birds! I don't see anywhere saying about being for ugly birds but win racing! That's why we do racing in summer. I won a class couple weeks ago and you wrote pm to someone saying dipped doo's win again!! Never even at show but decided to spread it was dipped!!! When it was a bob macdonals jan aarden hen that won. So he must dip too
