    Returns

vic great post i reckon it must be hawks what would split pigeons so much in a 103 mile race to me our winner timed then never got another bird for 40 mins i was the same i timed my first bird then took the pools nearly 60 mins after my first bird with my 3rd bird two club members competing in the final of our knockout cup still never had any ko birds at clock check 4 hrs after liberation what could cause so many large gaps in such a short race lets find out how the other feds have done
  11. well done redcheqhen and sapper
  12. 8/10 for me the birds seemed to have went past most of the late ones coming from the north our club winner 10.21 billy reid 20 mins in front of the second placed birds(3) of jim hannah billy win the west section last week think he might go close again this week i timed at 10.51 then another 35 mins later three races down the west not looking to good so far the bird seem to make it home in race time but the back markers are finding it hard

  20. so that was nice of us to clear the route next week you go first i got 13/14 but it took some birds 3-4 hours to fly 60 odd mile

  22. kelso 26apr 2008 libs by craig thompson(tompadel) on Mon Apr 28, 2008 5:33 pm Were your birds racing from kelso on saturday? I watched a liberation at 07.30 into full cloud cover, conditions i wouldnt even train in never mind race in.The birds were totally disorientated and hundreds were still flying around kelso 1 hour later.I was at the other side of town when they were liberated i didnt go to the site because i didnt think they would be up,but i thought i saw another liberation at around 07.55 when there were batches still going around....i drove past the lib site at around 11.00 and there was a small transporter still there so did one have the sense to holdover?? Wish i had my phone with me cos i would of took photo.....hope you got your birds back i suppose some would of done the time expected but alot would be really late and you know what??? it wasnt their fault... i took this from pigeonchat i reckon there were a few scottish feds at kelso
  23. yes it is Robert still early days on the west route to races from long-town both races have been very tough the birds seem to have very large gaps from 60 miles you expect 30-60 Min's after your first bird to have most birds back i never raced last week but i got 2 birds together then nothing for 25 Min's thy did make it back 13/14 but some birds flew a lot further than 60 miles great confidence filler for the Yb's
  24. just seen st andrews club winner doing 751ypm birds took a battering today from kelso hope the returns picked up for you guys
