About as good as the Pigeons (evil) lol thats a bit below the belt

if pedigree is written by a good honest fancier is worth a bit. the best birds i get are from friends . a few weeks back i got a matched pair of frank sheeder i think thats his name from a friend who paid a good few bob buying them in.best bird i have was a gift from the late george logan .my most consistent pigeon i have raced again from a friend. if jock3 has a son of the de barcelona bird i can see him getting added to my friends list ;D ;D ;D.

thought past experiences birds that have been very ill regardless of what disease made them ill .they dont make the best race birds. when you have something like this get a avian vet or send sample of droppings away to be tested. i new a man who was top flyer in my club and one of the top flayers in the fed week in week out .he told me the first thing he looked for in the morning when he looked in his loft was what bird or birds he was going to KILL regardless of previous wins if it did not look in perfect health it went in the BUCKET.

well i am glad we dont all take that approach. i have a bird in from lerwick race took time to find owner then phoned them gave some of my details then phoned them again to get it sorted for the bird going down next week via courier.also had to warm bath it as it was in a right mess,now it is taking up pen space and getting fed watered and cleaned daily .but now the old couple know their bird is safe well looked after for as long as it takes them to get courier sorted. she then asked how much money she was due me nothing i said the happiness and gladness in your voice is enough. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW WHARE YOUR BIRDS HAVE GOT TO.

:)when in Spain a few years back with the mrs.we where trying to pick a wee bit of the lingo up. so ham over their is jamon .we had ran out of ham so she was going to supermarket.i said we have ran out of jamon get some she did strawberry.

i see another wee cracker from spencroft lofts. very nice yb kev you are just to far away from me. hope it sells well .

i have all my birds on open hole.yb season.i let yb,s out 1st then when yb,s have done their flying.i then let ob out .which get the yb,s back on the wing, i do reverse in ob season.works for me.i also have 3 cats and 2 dogs which stop most intruders.all my old birds will lift of roof and fly when i whistle.yb,s are just learning this. whistle then if birds dont take off i throw a ball up.the birds soon learn.by the time next year comes all no the score.

if you train them and like tenny said the birds keep coming then you race them.if they win i will eat my hat. as i have been their and done that. it is hard enough to win with good healthy streamlined birds.

i can only say what i would do and that is dispose of them.i dont like telling any one to kill their birds .i think with something like this you should decide whats for the best. even though i can,t see how poor nest material would cause bent keels.which material did you use

i feed as much as they wont on Thursday then a little Friday morning.i feed only the food birds are use to . also feed in hopper as your floor might clean but is all the birds feet clean

i have raced my main team this year to an old 8x6 garden shed. with a lot of very good results.

you dont need to go to that extent to start with, any type of box of similar size will do fineor even smaller does the job.i have seen a pair lay eggs and rear yb,s in a 2 gallon bucket and race to it.

if it is just ybs you are getting the a shed with perches will do fine. make sure you have a wire basket for birds to see out side world 1st. also you will need a proper drinker and a feeder or hopper ,so as birds get clean water and feed. at a later point you will need breeding pens. if you are going to breed.but it is easy to nock up a few boxes and they will serve you as breeding boxes pens
