    new loft

After living with my wife for 9 years she has finally let me have a loft i the garden so i can have some of my own pigeons to look after. Here is a few photos of the loft it is a 8 ft by 4ft and i have built a 8ft by 5ft avery on the front the loft has been split into 2 sections one for a few pairs to breed in and one for some young birds. Have also recycled some boxs from our main loft round dads. Still got to finish breeding boxs in other section but got wood today so will have some work to do the weekend. Have purchased the first pair a pair of white racers from Snowy of here.. Here it is.

  10. Ben can i give you some advice you seem to have to many pigeons this for me is a major stummbling block that will stop you gettting the results you desire or actually deserve for all the time and effort you put into them. You are having to spread your time to cater for all your birds. In your sittuation i would breed your younguns then race either your cocks or your hens not both and give them the time and loving care that will make them race to you. I know this will be hard for you with your school work and exams, This is only my advice to try and help you. I belive in quality not quantity and loving time with each bird..
  11. Ben with all the effort you are putting in your results in races will improve but not to bad for a young man of your age and years in the sport Great showing results..

    IS IT FAIR?

We would never send a bird who we did not think could win the race let alone have a chance or ability/fitness to return, If the birds cant return on there own it will cost alot more to get them back in a courriour. So it is not fair to send birds to a race that could not return on its own. Also your choice of word survive is proberbly ment to be return..
