the thread has had some very good points,and some not so good. what is getting alot of people upset is the tapeing up and the decite to put the 2 rings on of different years just to get a advantage in the ybs is wrong. the simple way is just ask can I put ybs in as trainers, you will get a yes or no, and no one will be upset

it is legal ,this would be the owners choice, it may be a silly one. when this is done u put them in the last 2 short drop back races. :)

Totally agree with u gooner,like i said earlier no basketing member should let in throught, unless rules states different

joe if basketing committeis are doing there job they would not except it. I know there is no rule saying u cannot put 2 rings different years on your bird, but surely common sense tells u what is right maybehappy days ;D ;D

a 2008 ring and a 2009 ring on the birds legs only means one thing its a y/bird, so can only race in y/b races or anyage races.

Just to thank Peter for looking after our yb,s for afew days because of the bad weather . delivered this morning all in good health, Peter had already done 300miles when he got to me,with still more todeliver. once again thank you.

Just read through this thread as just got back in. If basket commitee let any bird go through with a taped up ring they are not doing their job.the queston should be asked[ WHY] Young birds can be raced with old birds if club & fed allow, this sometimes happens in the last few old bird races at short distances

don,t think it can be entered in ob race as it will have a 2009 ring on its leg, but can,not see a problem sending it as a trainer with the old birds, this is what i hope to do with some of ours if aloud to
