hi Josh i fly in stoke mate,there are plenty of clubs around stoke ,it all depends where abouts you are in stoke,i fly in Berryhill/Hanley one in the north staffs fed and the other in the staffs moorlands fed,if you want any info mate send me a pm and ill tell you which club is local to you,cheers gaz

both the pencil/pencil pied are mulemans /vdb no 2 is a 09 bird and no 3 is a 06 bird.

they are VDB/Mulemans with some of them with kellens/vanloon in them aswell

Joe Spedding has the best as far as im concenred,flies in my fed and tops it at least 3-5 times a year with upto 6500 birds a week.

they will be crossed with 2 kellens x van loon x vdb hens this year ,i would agree though that the van reets would go well with any VDB/Muleman as a cross.

hi jakjak i have some vdb mulemans,1 from higginson here are a couple of mine,dont think im hijacking your thread mate as im not,the birds look cracking mate and are a credit to you hope they breed you some of the goods.

:(we were also up at 13.45 from saints im in the staffs moorlands fed,this race has been a disaster,ive had 1 from 9 flying 16 hours 57 mins but a chap in my club had 5 from 29, loads of birds missing and i would say 75 % of the membership havnt had a bird.

I have had jan ardens for 15 years i got rid of most as i wanted to concentrate on the sprint /middle distance but in 06 i got some back in,here are a couple, She was 7th NW section 32nd open MNFC Falaise 2008 yearling national with just under 2000 birds flying 8 hours 45 mins for 298 miles. a winner of 3rd Saints 2008 (511 miles) both of these are smaradge lines

I have for sale a collection ,of 10 medals one of which i havnt a photo for,they consist of silver , silver plated, bronze and copper and range from the date of 1891 to the latest 1978,these have took me nearly 6 years to build up and preferably would like to sell them as 1 lot so they stay together,i am asking £200 for the collection which is far cheaper than i bought them with 1 costing me in excess of £70.Anybody interested can pm me or reply on this thread.I can bring to blackpool on the saturday to save on delivery charges if you so wish. . Hi Patty boy,he was a gift from a good friend as a yb so dont know his breed,he has won 2 x 1st and 20+ prizes ranging from 2nd - 6th in club,he also has a 3rd fed from 3321 birds and another 10 fed cards from 9th - 25th from an average of 2-5000 birds.He is an o4 bird that i have never bred from as i have never bred from my racers,this year is the first time so we willl see how they do.

Basically what you have to do is have for arguments sake a 12ft loft(dosnt have to be this size) that houses 20 hens.Make 10 widow boxes for the 20 hens,split the shed into 3 sections,10 hens in 1 section and 10 hens in the other section,in the middle section is where the hens will trap when they return from exercise and racing.Let 10 cocks pick there pens in the middle section and when pairing up allow the 10 hens from the first section to pair to the 10 cocks,not letting the other 10 into the middle section at all.Once the first section have reared there young seperate them and allow the cocks to remain in there on there own for a week or 2.Now let the 2nd section into the middle section and let them pair to the cocks and rear a round of YBs. You now have 20 hens racing to 10 boxes and cocks.Move the cocks out of the middle section and when exercising allow the hens into the widow box with the door closed.Feed them in the middle section at all times and never have the 2 sections out at the same time.When training give 15 mins difference between the 2 sections again feed and move to there designated section. On basketing there are many different motivational tricks you can play on these hens, ie letting both sections in together, locking 1 hen in the box and allow the other into the middle section(with or without cocks it dosnt matter). This i have found to be a very good system with some good results, i have 14 hens and between them(not inc 08 birds they have over 25 x 1st,with one hen winning 12 x 1st alone) also 8th NW sec 37th open MNFC Yearling Falaise ,2008 -1172 birds.very hard race. 6 sent. 7th NW sec 27th open yearling MNFC Falaise,2007 another very hard race. 3 sent. 10th sec C 50th open MCCFC sending 2 birds 2007.Picauville. 6 sent 59th NW sec , 207th open - 6431 birds. 6 sent.

If you think they are better than your cocks then race them on the roulette system,ive had some excellent results with hens on this system.

She is a very very good hen that has a racing record second to none,but for the life of me i cant understand why anyone would pay 74,400 euros for any pigeon no matter what it had done.To what aim is the purpose of it,obviosly she was bought by money men to make money,why else?????but surley you wont get your money back off her,if it were a cock then it would be a different story ie the bull system,but not a hen.To me this is the reason so many people are going out of our sport,its getting ridiculous money wise,exactly the same as football,money has wrecked the game and im afraid we are going the same way,That is my opinion anyway.
