  1. from the SOLR website the last hot spot race has been cancelled and the money is to be rolled over to the final. NEGATIVE all members with birds left are denied the chance of hot spot money wins from the cancelled race. Positive for the owner no birdage costs for the cancelled race. NEGATIVE the birds that would have scored from the last hot spot race are denied the positions for overall Ace pigeon. POSITIVE for the owner if the remaining birds are to be entered into the SNFC Leicester under his own name he will not suffer any more losses from rivenhaLL an approx. dist 290 miles so increases his own chance of SNFC glory. Perhaps SNFC management can let other SNFC members know if the SOLR birds will be sent as true race entrants or as an individual separate entries being transported only.
  2. Sounds like your first post on this thread that is copied below could be a message your passing on from the owner. from Vandenabeele starting post on this thread Just wondering if meny going to one loft final after some people slaging billy on basics dont thik they will be verry welcome
  3. With you having syndicate birds entered I respect your thoughts, what is your syndicate name hope you still have birds going to the first race.
  4. Been checking during the night don't think you have personally entered you may have done under a syndicate name, if not your comments are no more valid than mine Your views might be different if the SOLR was in your SNFC section.
  5. Hi all we are waiting on a program for the clock so we can print training off, so I will give you a run down of the first 20 birds. This is from SOLR website tonight they are waiting on programme FOR THE ClOCK to print todays training off this is getting worse as time goes on They have posted up pool sheets how many entries do you think they will get
  6. How far off the original proposal do things have to be to get your money back. Basically remember the owner was selling the SOLR to us at Blackpool when he already knew there were many objections already with the Borders Council. The first race is from Wetherby on Sat, I reckon dist to be almost 135 / 140 mile so the y/bs are being jumped 100 mile, out the window the 50 / 60 / 80 mile races as on the original programme. Below are only a few points from the SOLR rules 11) The pigeons will be housed in a luxury loft, specially designed for this race. This loft will accommodate approx 1200 birds. Check the photos, far from luxury, we now hear that one of the aviares blew off 12) The ELECTRONIC CLOCKING SYSTEM will be installed into the loft and used for all training tosses Only been used for what looks like 2 training tosses 14) A proper PIGEON TRANSPORTER will be used for the training of these pigeons looks like a business van with home made crates put inside There will be a comprehensive training programme, gradually building up the distance on a weekly basis. This will be strictly adhered to, so the pigeons have the proper education for the task in front of them but subject to the welfare of the birds and weather conditions prevailing. Now they are being jumped 100 mile into the first race, first time in a transporter, first time lib with other loft birds
  7. Ets assigned 22nd July but still no ring list up showing birds that are still there First race posponed a week to let members see how the birds are doing and the ets working still nothing All these delays sill no race programme details giving race points or dates.
  8. "Not sure when the first race is due to tech issues", the management took in over £45,000 on this venture. Race programme on website has 12 races, we know SNFC and UNC are on same day so lets look at 11 races, must be racing midweek as there are only 7 Saturdays before the National races, they must have some idea when the first race will be. They still have never stated whether races apart from SNFC / UNC nationals are SOLR only liberations or with a club / Fed. Tech issues is that a delay to assign ETS rings or what, most clubs use ETS and normal working guys can handle the system management. The ETS rings I would have thought would have been assigned to the Y/birds when they arrived, then totally trackable at all times and not this late with also a tech issue possibly being used as a possible management excuse.
  9. OK fun is fun but a lot of folks have entered birds at £100 each they deserve to know the truth. all birds should have had ETS rings assigned before training after all the ets ring cost must have been budgeted for on the original 1000 bird proposal Or is this the owner reducing his costs. The proposal mentions 12 races but it has never been said apart from Nationals if these races are one loft liberations or with a club / fed / UNC. Question what is the best way to win a National. Answer set up a one loft race in a good position have top flyers pay £100 to enter birds with the lure of big prize money, they are then entered under the one loft owners name. At the end of the day how easier TO WIN PERSONAL GLORY THAN HAVE OTHERS PAY TO ENTER THEIR BEST AND YOU PICK UP THE PRIZES
  10. Are none of the folks that have paid £100 an entry interested that possibly only 1/2 the entered birds could still be on the go. Think the following latest news entry on the SOLR website was not put up on the right date but long after this looks like from the 458 paid entries there could only be 200 or so left going to be a lot of disappointed guys that entered. are the ETS rings assigned or not strange how they can tell how many later birds home. 09 July 2013 - Hi all the birds were tossed at Alnwick 1 (35 miles by road ) on mon everything went well ,when I got back o the loft 6 appeared straight away ,it was 15 min before another bird appeared and they were spread out a batch of 50 came and then they were coming in ones and twos all afternoon, at 7 I went for something to eatand was away for an hour in that hour 49 came they are still coming right up till dark. I would say that there was about 200 in the loft at night, the next day another 34 appeared I dont know what happened quite a stressful day for birds and me. Billy
  11. Why was the SNRPC formed.
  12. Are we seeing SNRPC members entering more SNFC races knowing they have a better chance of winning bigger pool lifts and result positions than in the SNRPC small birdage entry races.
  13. If the SOLR birds go to SNFC Leicester, they will be entered under the owners name and they would appear on the result under the owners name as he is the member not the SOLR. Going to the SNFC race gives the owner an opportunity to have his name written in the Scottish pigeon history books, helped by the possible large entry he would be sending. The website now has UNC Maidstone or SNFC leicester as the final race will be decided nearer the time.

  15. Checked the result on the website there is an open position given for every 5/6 birds entered, put that into club racing the result would be several pages, think of the fed results would be hundreds. They say a diploma for 1 in 15 entered, lets keep the result at that, giving credit where it belongs.
  16. Lots of posts about the SOLR sending birds to the SNFC Leicester if as has always been advertised the final race is from Maidstone with the UNC there will not be any birds sent to SNFC as these races are the same day. Would be a whole lot clearer if the website was updated to the point of letting folk know what is actually planned. Post by Big Bill says the RACE WILL GO AHEAD, there are meant to be at least 10 races.
  17. What are these letters about. If it is about not getting permission for loft at Lamberton, the owner knew when he was still selling the venture at Blackpool that there was many objections already lodged with the council, and he was in trouble. Dont see anything about these letters on the SOLR website, very strange. Again could say the updates on the website are very poor, entries fall short of the 1000 birds that the prize money estimation , but has never been updated. Conflict on race programme dates has never been updated either, SNFC yb Nat Leicester and UNC yb Nat Maidstone are on the same day. Your thoughts welcomed
  18. Last update on the SOLR website was a complaint about the SNRPC that on the 21st April, nothing since, website says fanciers make their own mind up, is this a diversion tactic to take focus of his own problems with this venture. Copied from the SOLR website 21 April 2013 - Hi the response from snrpc about competing in young bird national was not what i expected they said that we were a commercial loft and would not let us enter there race, which is pretty poor on there part as on there web site they say they will take on all comers. I will let fanciers make there own mind up.
