not keen on one loft races, the best i no of i think was up scotland way, fancer bred all the birds from his own stock then people came on an open day chose birds and paid fee, dont no what prize money was ,but at the end of racing had 80% of birds left, i think it was open to the fancers federation.

I was looking at this trap myself for my y/b loft but in the end i went for the RV woodcraft unikon trap r v woodcraft have some good traps i am sendind for the bricon ets traps. i have tried stall traps but did not like them nor did my ybs it is hard for ybs to land on them in flight went to loft roof first loosing time.

I would go for sputnik traps as if you do get ets thay are ideal,

you are correct many pair two early i think this is so thay have a larger team of yb, i dont pair untill end of jan early feb my yb go on dark end march early april, i only use lights for the last 3 races. i had 31 from 36 at end of season, first flew darkness 1986.

do you race old birds naturally or widowhood as widowhood is against nature and fanciers fly it to win races just the same, we do it to give the birds the best conditoin to fly home win or lose

ets has the advantage if birds come together, ets bird is clocked as soon as it hits the pad, ets was never ment to make birds fly faster,
