Dazza You need to write to, or phone your Regional RPRA Secretary, he /she will then send you a claim form. You complete this, stating which trophy you are claiming for and detailing your performance(s). The form will need to be signed by your Club/Fed Secretary verifying your claim, then return the form to your RPRA regional Secretary, then wait with fingers crossed.... Regards Tom

Hi Stuart Cheers for the info didn't know it was your dad that discovered them. Thanks for the offer of the Pictorial, but I've got a copy, the article was written at the start of period when everything we touched seem to turn to gold...... oh how I wish those days could return. Regards Tom

Asha A few years back a crate of Banwell Club pigeons were left on the WOESRC transporter, the strings had not been cut and they were discovered the following week when the driver/convoyer collected the lorry. The (then convoyer) admitted his error and the crate of birds were taken to a local fancier where they were watered and fed (little but often) and then returned to the Banwell club members, I understood that none of the birds had suffered long term effects. The event was well publicized by the then committee and was accepted as unintentional human error. Nowadays with DEFRA rules, the litter etc is cleaned out before the crates are returned to the clubs, lessening the chance of birds being left on the lorry. However, I suggest first you ask other club members if they had cocks return at the same time and in similar condition. And secondly find out what day the transporter was cleaned out. Regards Tom

Thomasd This will mean that the eggs will hatch 3 days before the yearlings are expecting them to hatch (14th/15th day of incubation), this will be okay, but I wouldn't want to chance it an earlier, as the adopting parents need to be preparing to make "milk" and they start to do this around the 15th day of incubation. EXCEL SPREADSHEET EXPERT WANTED
Tom Avis replied to REDCHEQHEN's topic in Website News, Views & Computer Related Info
Hi If you have accidently hidden them, you need to highlight the columns, then go to "Format" on your tool bar, then "Column" and then "unhide". However, you may have accidently squashed them together, then you need to left click on the verticle line seperating (what is currenly column D & colume Q) hold the left click down and move the colmuns apart. Hope this helps Tom -
Hi Ken was a lovely man who passed away less than a year ago, one of life's true characters, whom no one had a bad word for. He raced very well especially when the velocities were below 1100ypm and excelled in getting top performances out of yearlings. Ken would not have been a "strain" man, but I gather based his family around other west country lofts who were doing well in "hard" races. Regards Tom

Has anyone heard of, or has any information on, TKK tablets? I saw them a few years ago, I know they are blue in colour, but other than that I don't know much about them. Thanks in Anticipation Tom

Whoops :B, missed out the word "not" still carrying nest flights. Tom

We don't race YBs, but, I am aware that many Darkened YBs are still on their 2nd/3rd flights in early Sept, how do fanciers that race the Dark system, ensure that all 10 flights are moulted through, so that their yearlings are still carrying nest flights? Regards Tom

PIGEON SHAKING & ROCKING
Tom Avis replied to COTTONHEAT's topic in Help - What's wrong with my bird?
Sounds like Elvis reincarnated ;D. But seriously I haven't a clue, but I wouldn't want it anywhere near my birds. Regards Tom -
Hi All I'm a member of the NFC and as requested posted a reply on that site. Basically, I can't agree to a witch hut to attribute the blame, the weather this YB season has been rubbish and continues to be rubbish, any fanciers who enters YBs in a channel race knows the risks. Regards Tom

Looks like the birds cleared really well and indications were that they were in for a good race, but why was the release trailer parked so close to that wall and railings? Some of the convoy must have gone very close to injuring themselves. Regards Tom

I would put some STER-ZAC powder on it. Fantastic stuff it's cheap and easily available from the chemist, it's proper use is for nappy rash and healing the umbilical(sp) cord on babies, it drys the wound and stops infection. Highly recommended. Tom
