Just reported 32 GB rung birds to RPRA and guess what 30 of them are scottish and not RPRA scottish but SHU Scottish birds with no wing stamp or telephone rings on and what's even worse the majority of them were put in their own Fed stray baskets and sent to the stray centre. 1 they could have been returned to their owners this weekend. 2 they would have cost nothing. 3 Now they will be charged £3.60 plus what ever their Fed puts on each bird. Why why why do fanciers not wing stamp or put telephone rings on their doos. It takes a lot of time to report these birds that I should not be accepting because they are not wing stamped with an SHU wing stamp. As I have said in the past I will not turn any birds away from the stray centre but for fks sake give me a hand. I must thank Scottish Borders Jim Ramage and Gorge Trusdale Midland Fed who brought 85 doors in this weekend

no problem with that well done all first class. It's when people bring birds up and liberate them and financiers don't see them again that annoys me. At least give them to somebody that you can collect them from I don't care how they get back home as long as they do cheers

I would love to but unfortunately I work full time. I'm at the centre at 6:45 every morning and again about 8ish at night and till midnight Fri and most of the weekend. When the birds come in with the transporters the drivers and convoyers want away as quickly as they can. I don't have time to do this but I will try to post all birds that come in with no id rings or wing stamps. There is a large amount of GB NEHU and other prefixe Scottish birds that come in to the centre. I do my best to return all birds to their owners with as little inconvenience and as quickly as I can. There is roughly 1000 birds come through the centre each year.

Hi all the stray centre is up and running this week. I know there is a lot of people that don't want Birds back that have been through the centre but I can assure you that they are given the best of attention. They are fed twice a day and have disinfected water in front of them all day. I keep their baskets clean they are looked after well. I do not turn any birds away all birds are taken into the centre and I do my very best to get them back to their owners asap. Your in sport Davie Gullane
