well if your going to leave a 1 inch gap say goodbye to your birds a weazle or stoat can get through that gap also your leaving it open to rats and mice too .

i got an 07 hen that will lay arond 4 eggs a year 2 at start and if lucky 2 at end the rest of the time she goes broody and sits the bowl tight as does the cock so i take eggs from the racing loft and let her rear them as i only have 1 round out of racing loft.

bhw for me had the rp once all the stuff in it was out of the bhw the week before .

mine yearlings are all on pot eggs only 1 of the 4 raced last year flagged them round the loft for a week took 5 miles 2 hrs to get back so took then 10 back before me now they have had 2 at 18 all coming well . i only feed wheat to all my birds throughout the winter i find they don`t get fat and don`t take long to get fit after winter .

remember noone can shoot racing pigeons as they belong to someone so if he does he can be arrested for criminal damage with a deadly weapon.

i always let my young birds sit the house roof to start with so they get a better look around once they are all flying and they pitch on the roof i use water balloons or a long pole with a flag on to get them off the roof after a couple of days they all hit the loft rather than the house .

after my attack last night i wish the sh had followed the pigeon into the kitchen as i could have used reasonable force to remove the tresspasser from my property and as it was armed so would i have been .

was out with my yb`s tonight 3 left out 1 landed on the porch by the front door next minute heard flapping and sparrow hawk hit knocked bird off roof and yb flew into the kitchen and hawk flew off with a camera shot up his ass . small mark on back and minus a few tail feathers .

what are people doing giving away pigeons that don`t belong to them and how long have they had them ????

how about people putting up some pics of traps that comfirm to the the new rules and those that don`t i`m thinking of taking the rpra to small claims court to get my money back for the trap i bought 21/12/08 that was legel and that now is not maybe if everyone in the same boat done the same the rpra will think twice before changing rules that were ok in one year and not the next.

well its not so good friday for me as the rule 241 has now been changed may aswell pack in cant afford a new trap i spent £135 on one last year that complied with rule 241 so may aswell bin the 32 young birds and 36 eggs and pack it in .

i bet the reply you get will be take it up with your region as he seems to want to pass the buck all the time.

i just been on their facebook page and let them know how i felt about the flying rat comment.

in all truth the rpra whu etc etc should be doing this thats what we pay our fees for not for them to sit on their hands and do sweet fa to help us .
