i would say no ,back then everything was "black & white" not colour

i too would block off the ledge , make the opening into the loft larger . dont worry about them sitting out in the elements , it wont harm them.where and when are you feeding ? i would hope inside the loft and at a regular time ,say late afternoon ,if you could get them into a routine of feeding inside at that time ,then close them in for the evening .open in the morning for them to sit in the avairy .this should work ok for you , and good luck.

sure you will get many different answers , myself they will only be trained once or twice at 10 mile ,but must excercise well at home , am and pm . how far ?? if they are constant at the shorter races , save them for next season , constantly late or even next day , send them all the way ,good luck.
