Hi there T.Corrie Sen just got a phone call from our secetary and i would like to thank for reporting our bird on basics if you could give me your phone number we can arrange to have the bird picked up
Again very much appreciated Yours in sport T.C
I must disagree with you there Billy i won two John Donald memorial trophies with them for the best averages old bird and young birds they went to every race and topped the fed from 500 miles in North East wind they were great birds to me with or without the sun on their backs i had the Rain storm line wish i still had them i did not appreciate what i had
Talking about sections can anyone explain to me how Clarkston were placed in the central section of the federation when they lie further east than motherwell in the federation yet they are in the east section can anyone explain this to me ?
Here we go again national minded fanciers trying to tell the Lanarkshire Fed what to do tell me gentlemen who is the club and who is the federation what benifits does the NATIONAL FLYING CLUB bring to the table no transporters no baskets higher costs thousands in the bank that it aims to hold on to
i have a different view i do not think that it is the best thing that has happend to the lanarkshire fed as in my opinnon in the the long run it will ruin their blue ribbon races
I see a a few friends on it Spike&Martin Emett and big Liam im surpised Guiligan is not taking the leading role had the pleasure of visit to the lofts of the chap exlpaining the motovation a very good set up i cant recall his name we were over for Spikes 80th birthday what a weekend that was
It must have been early we were there at the pick-up point at 5.50 and they had been and gone so im told last week it was 5.15 before they picked us up
Two baskets from Clarkston and we had to run them over to Carluke as the the transporter left us high and dry at the pick up point i would like to thank Billy King and the Carluke Club for their help in getting our birds to the race
Thank you Gentlemen
Still only 5 from 18 there goes my national hopes not much chance of many tomorrow with the bad weather forcast for Sunday
I must agree with Gareth those youngsters got hit early on what ever it was i suppose we will never know but it has certanly knocked the heart out of me and a big hole in my young bird team it will be hard going up to the loft tomorrow after this setback
