its a case jealously some people think your birds maybe faster than theirs so they don't want to help (great sportsmanship) but here you get that in all walks of life if your friend had been a member of this site he would have got all the help he needs you are an example of this read the posts of offers of help/birds and I know you never wrote this thread for this WELL DONE MO CHARA (my friend) a true FRIEND (and they are hard to come by) micko

hi I have been following on pottasium permanganate and other treatment for the control of lice and I did a google search and came across a poultry site that recommends sodium fluoride and I was wondering if anyone on this site may have used it micko Lice will not trouble the poultryman who practices the “clean-up measures’’ previously outlined, At the present time sodium fluoride seems t o be the best general remedy. Bishopp and Wood recommend dipping the birds in a solution of sodium fluoride as follows: The dip is made in a tub in the proportion of one ounce of the commercial, or two-thirds ounce of chemically pure sodium fluoride to each gallon of water. The bird is held by the wings with one hand and submerged in the solution; the other hand is used to ruffle the feathers and wet the body. Finally, duck the head of the bird a few times, drain for a few seconds, and release. One pound of sodium fluoride will be enough to treat 300 hens when using the dip method.
