CHAIRDE FRIENDS hi all i still have a couple of pair ( fantails ) on chicks but once they are finnished i'm going to make some changes to the loft at present i have the nestboxes at floor level on the left handside of the loft 2 high great for jack looking in to see whats going on but i now realise NOT SO GOOD FOR ME with a broken spine so the nest boxes are coming out and going onto the back wall (i'll post the pics when i get it done) now to the floor grills our loft is only 8x4 i scrape it about 5 or 6 times a day (not really needed just to give me something to do) but i have seen floor grills in loft photos do you think it worth while ( its only a small loft) if you install grills how do you work with them once the dropping drop threw do you put dusting power down on top ?? how often do you lift them to clean out and this may sound stupid but how do the birds cope on the grills (would they be suitable for the fantails) GO RAIBH MAITH AGAT MO CHAIRE THANK YOU MY FRIENDS mick

we have a pair that hatched and reared 2 young there has been NO chicks in the nest now for about 4 weeks the cock is chasing the hen but she's not going down again any ideas A leave them as the are B lock them in the nest box thanks mick and jack
