micko and jack

after posting a thread asking for rings for my grandson jack I got a few PM's asking why I wanted the rings and that's a fair question so let me tell you a bit about me nearly 10 years ago I fell and broke my spine in 2 places shattered two disc and cut 4 strands of the spinal cord luckily can still walk (not to long or to fair) im in constant pain and take pain killer every 2 hour things aren't great at times but hi im still here and still on my feet I now have 2 lovely grandchildren jack being the oldest at 2 1/2 jack loves his fantails (just check his photos) I intent to do all i can to help his interest in pigeons and when he's older jack AND his sister nadine (she's out at the birds in the good weather pigeon fancying isn't just for MALES) may decide the want tipplers homers show birds or they my just want their fantails but all that ok with granda a friend from this site sent jack a one loft race ring so I have started to collect rings (mostly racing rings) in the hope that jack and nadine will keep this hobby going when they are older I believe that's far better than hanging around street corners our children (grandchildren) learn from US racing rings are for sale on ebay I have bought some (china and countries like that) at NO time have I sold rings and that will NEVER happen if we get a load of rings the same year union or fed we will TRADE for other rings if possible but there are some special rings gifted to jack from some of our site members from really good racing birds that have won loads of races they are special and wont be traded I hope this answers all your concerns but feel free to PM me if you have any questions again we DO NOT SELL RINGS NEVER HAVE NEVER WILL mick jack and nadine

allways human grade i have read to many threads about the bird type cheapest out of asda haha

young bird mix no peas (the peas are hard for the birds to get down) peanuts 2/3 times per week they have pick pots in the loft black and pink minerals (in different containers) red brick and white grit (in different containers)

sure hes a big lad with big shoulders and petes right he cant read anyway haha joking a side its an honnor to call mick and mickey friends 2 of the sports TRUE GENTS well that said time to get of my knees haha

happening in about 5 different nests i had the dropping tested and things are ok

birds are feed twice a day but once the eggs hatch the nest box gets a pot of corn and water they are never short of corn thats what i dont understand i would look over it if they had NO feed but every morning there is allways corn left in the nest box pots and they get topped up

aaaa come on does mick owe you all money or something all he does is drive young mickey is the real brains of the outfit rose micks about 60 66 stone wears a wig talks with to be honest I don't know were that accent comes from but it would be a lot easier if he signed young mickey a very handsome young man a real catch for any young lady the only draw back you get the GRUMPY OLD MAN as an in-law haha

CHAIRDE FRIENDS we having big big trouble with our breeding the birds are laying ok but seem to be SITTING as soon as the first egg is laid which mean come hatching the first chick is near 2 days older both parents are feeding the young ok but at about 2 weeks old its as if they stop feed the youngest (weaker) one any ideas A remove the first egg until the 2nd is laid (if so how do I store it) B if 2 pair go down at the same time (it doesn't happen often) put first egg to first egg and second to second hoping they hatch about the same time C move the chicks first hatched in 2 nest in together the way things are now we are only getting one chick per nest and if the first egg hatched is a cock we are only going to have a load of cocks and its not for the want of feed as once the chicks hatch each nest box gets a pot of feed and one of water daily plus the usual feeding morning and evening

they say the truth hurts lol

a friend from this site sent jack and Irish one loft race ring so i thought i would start to collect racing rings for jack and hopefully when hes older he will keep it up as a hobby

with sure a large number of members on site I couldn't pass this by if anyone has any rings left over could you please keep jack in mind old or new we would be very grateful
