  1. That seems a reasonable estimate and slightly slower into the far west
  2. Don't think they are even race marked yet now that's what I call progressive. Well done to those concerned.
  3. It seems to me that birds flying into and from Scotland have had a tougher race than those flying in southern England.

Ayrshire almost no wind misty but the sun is trying to break through.
  5. light drizzle in Ayrshire but mild with it.
  6. I hope he is not on ETS
  7. It certainly reads that way from this thread. Hopefully not.
  8. it was bright in the west earlier but there is some cloud starting to show now.
  9. and the markets have lost a fortune due to the debt laden Greeks. It makes you think the financial crisis has a long way to run yet.
  10. He is doing a grand job. Well done to him
  11. I only sent 5 but dropped one. Some were a few short at marking. Oh well that's doo racing.
  12. Returns seem a bit mixed from this race yet other organisations seem to have had good returns today. I am happy I only sent a small team.
  13. Ayrshire lib at Consett see post before you
  14. Ayrshire/Ballochmyle federations are at Consett for a joint liberation today.
  15. Lovely sunny but chilly morning in Ayrshire. Not what I was expecting at all.
  16. Probably only send a few hens as I cannot afford to have any more cocks thrown away in North Easterly winds. I will keep them for the later races. We are racing from Consett and the wind forecast is about 20mph North Easterly and will remain in this direction but drop slightly towards the home end.
  17. I think the racepoint is ok but the weather forecast is again for North Easterly winds.

That's great flying by any standards.
  19. Does anyone know the time of the Yorkshire North Road Lib at Dunbar? I am of the opinion it was pretty close to the Ayrshire liberation time at Berwick.
  20. Yes Stuart I should be there at Newbridge and I agree there will be bargains. The demand is decreasing now and was reflected in the auction prices at Blackpool.
  21. Absolutely correct The members should simply not send if the forecast temperature is below 10 degrees. We need to be more flexible when we compose rave programs. The birds should not be subjected to that abuse but our race programs are so inflexible that we send to avoid jumping them later.
  22. Given the type of race your returns are pretty good Hotrod. If you are stuck fr birds there is a good sale on tomorrow.
  23. Billy---John Shepherd won our club. The best velocity I have seen so far is Greenlees in Ardeer doing 1668. I don't have the Clyde coast result yet. I know it will be fast considering the double overfly.
  24. Tom Smith won the race in Dalry club with a velocity of 1428ypm
  25. Ayrshire fed birds making good time from Berwick but the birds are well spread out. Yearlings seem to be in short supply---at least to me.
