hi i only have a small loft with 10 birds in it and i have noticed that since we have had some bad weather...(it has rained solid for a week) a couple of my birds have been puffed up and are not their self(if you no what i mean). i picked one of them up and he lost a few feathers on it back. As i am new to the sport i was just wondering if any one thinks their is any thing really rong with them or if they are just down because of the weather??? thanks jordan...

my grandad got me interested in pigeons about a year ago. i started of with rolers but i would love to start racing. The problem is my parents arent intersted and my grandad has had rolers all his life and deosnt want to change to racers now. my parents like the rolers but they dont want me to race because they dont understand the sport... i think the problem is that their is interest in pigeon racing from young fanciers like myself but they cannot get the backing from family etc that they need to start up. It is hard for young fanciers to just say to their parent that they want to start to race pigeons... jordan

I have had a new loft delivered today and i want to tranferre all of my current birds to the new loft so i can put some new birds into the old loft.My new loft will be about 20ft away from my current loft.I am really stunted with this proposition and i need to know if... 1.will the birds break to the new loft or will they keep going back to the old one? 2.how long will i have to keep the birds in because they already know the area? 3.will they continually use the new loft as their home once they are broke or will they keep going back and forth between the lofts? 4.i have youngsters that are 20 days old so when would it be best to transferre the birds to the new loft? many thanks for any help jordan :-/...
