yes antibiotics were given out willy nilly to every cough sneeze and sore throat by doctors at one time , then they started to limit there use to extremely bad cases or immune suppressed individuals , that's all well and good but at what cost long term ??? the long term effectiveness of antibiotics is limited and over use prevents the body building up a stronger immune defence against such illnesses , there's a lot of information about baytrill on the internet and it does cause short term fertility for up to 6 days in cocks and hens eggs should be discarded , so if that strong short term then it's my belief that baytrill should be the very last option for a pigeon and only can be prescribed by a vet . My method for ybs does work 100% without the need for antibiotics . To me giving baytrill to cure ybs is like taking a weeks course of antibiotics when a antacid tablet would do . I don't doubt the effectiveness of baytrill but as said it's the last resort , i feel that if the young birds can't fight or overcome with my method then they are week and i'd rather remove them as they will only be the gateway to more problems in future generations.
