john@formula 1 lofts replied to PATTY BHOY's topic in Natural Remedies & Supplements
I have used it most days in my drinkers since racing finished and the birds look great and have had a very good moult. Not sure if it is stronger enough to race on but defo will use it during the winter again. -
You will always be welcome mate. we also have a partnership loft in the USA which has our best bloodlines which may work out cheaper if you wanted to try our birds. Thanks John
-
I would agree it will be the high level of starch that will bind them up

Hi Mate, Yes pigeons can be sent to Canada ok, when i have sent birds to the USA they have to go to Canada first. If you require any further info i can give you the numbers you need to get in touch with. Cheers John

1) GB06N Gaby blue hen she is cracking hen as is her nestmate who i have sent to the USA to start our breeding loft in America. 55213 herself has scored many times on the rd even after being hawked from her first race this season she still went on to card with what i believe is limited sight in 1 eye. her best national position is 91st open National flying club. her sire is GB04T25269 Blue Cock. 269 is a very good breeding cock he bred in 2005 a very good hen that won many positions in club + 16 th open BICC Tours 289 mile and 204th open L&SECC. Also 4th section Falaise Another nest pair from 2006 won many positions in club and open for me and 85th sec 91 st open NFC. One cock 55214 won 4x1st in 2008 alone amoung his many positions. And another one won 2nd sec 2nd open Guernsey in 2009 the dam is GB04T25237 Blue Hen Bred by M&D Evans this very good hen is one of the top breeders housed at Formula 1 lofts she has bred many good birds for us and others she is bred from two of the latest breeding stars housed at Myrtle lofts being of a top son from Golden Boy & Amber Louise and the hen that mark Evans rates as one of the best breeding hens at Myrtle lofts at present super Gaby 310. 55213 nestmate won 5x1st for us at 2 different address he was also sire to a yearling cock who flew 14 hours and 20 min to be our only day bird from Bergerac. Price £150 2) GB 10 Pure class this hen was bred for our own stock loft but the 2 i had put by are both hens so have decided to let this one go. through this is a cross it could not get much better bloodlines. The sire is 660 what a pigeon he is sire g.sire to amny top birds including 1st open NFC and 8th open BICC also 7th section L&SECC. this super cock is a G .Son of Champion Millennium Superstar & Fantastic Light. Millennium Superstar 1st NIPA Nenagh 22,585b, 1st NIPA Mallow 22,889b, 1st NIPA Tramore 23,585b, R.P.R.A sprint champion 2002, three times 1st Open over 22,000 birds Absolutely mind boggling ! The dam of lot 2 is Miss National - we brought her from Brian Baxter sale and she is a super breeder having bred many winners at Club/sec open/fed level including being dam to 1st open BICC. in turn she is bred from the Bushwacker cock Bred by Kevin Lawson in 1998, and brought by Brian Baxter were he was one his main breeding cock before we brought him he is sire g.sire to scores of top birds and big winners at the highest level. For some reason i can not post on the other thread i have been trying since yesterday... Formula 1 lofts will donate a pair of May bred 2011 y/b's these will be direct from our stock loft and can be either from our Ron Williamsons, Gabys, Caudwell SVR, or our new winner strain (which are a mixed bunch but all have one thing in common they have either bred big winners or are direct from big winners) If someone can add this to the other thread that will be great Thanks Formula 1 lofts

Big Breeding Business,S
john@formula 1 lofts replied to sapper756's topic in Breeding, Strains & Families
Mick i do agree a lot of people and studs do keep birds which are sub standard because of what they are bred from or how much they cost etc. This was one of the things which attracted me to M&D Evans was they sorted through there original Gabys and only kept the best. This is also what we do i went through our stock birds a few weeks ago and got rid of the pigeon which was the most expensive pigeon i have ever brought. -

To a point i agree Mick on the other hand by people reporting there winners should help the stud to make sure tey only keep the best breeders which in turn means, the Customer should get a better quality of y/b's going forward. I do think maybe studs should have to show how many rings they buy each year. I would be more then happy to tell anyone who asked this. As i am pretty sure our % of good birds is higher then most. john@formula 1 lofts replied to john@formula 1 lofts's topic in Birds For Sale
Hope to see some of you tomorrow night. If you come along please come up and say hi Thanks John -
By the way we are only a small stud and only breed about 1% of the birds LPW do.
-
Yes mate, me and my partner in F1 both race to diferent locations. we are first and foremost racing lofts the stud comes 2nd.
-
If you bred 20,000 y/b's a year there must be some good ones.
-
so i have started a new post maybe a mod can move thiss accross at some point. maybe we should bred a few more from her next year 94832 what a hen this Caudwell SVR is we brought her as a latebred in 2005 from Mark Caudwell, and paired her late in the year in 2006 getting 2 cocks from her. These two cocks have won many top prizes between them before Ch 53 was killed at the start of the 2009 season. He won as a yearling and 2year old 3x1sts 5x2nds and 11 other cards in the Open in Leigh-on-sea his nestmate also scored many cards. Ch53 also bred John cowlin 1st y/b in last season (2009) y/b national and she was his 3rd pigeon as a yearling this year(2010) were she finished 11th open being beat by 2 of her aunties. In 2007 this super hen was paired to a different cock and again only two y/b’s were bred to race from her these two also have many cards and were John Cowlin first two in this year NFC old hens National the first 1 is 6th open and the 2nd one is 9th open. Previously these 2 hens have won 16th, 66th and 97th open NFC In 2008 again to a different cock only 2 were bred to race one of which has become John Cowlin current best sprint widow cock he has won 5x1sts and over 20 top positions sprint flying. In 2009 she was paired back to her original cock 3 y/b’s were taken from this hen for Racing 1 for John Cowlin and 2 for me. I lost one of mine early doors as they were very late in fact I did not wean them until I was already training so they had to play catch up very quickly the other cock only had a couple of races at the end of the season but this year he has been super cock winning the following 3rd club 5th sec & 5th Open 875 birds 6th club 23rd sec 27th open 1,208 birds 1st club 1st sec & 1st Open 1,125 birds 4th club 4th sec & 4th Open 1,091 birds 1st club 4th sec 9th open 826 birds 1st club 3rd Sec & 3rd Open 654 birds 1st club 3rd sec & 19th open 719 birds + other cards. So from 9 children we have bred to race and 2 g.children we have raced from this SVR hen she is responsible for at least 14x1st and over 70 cards including 6th,9th,11th 16th, 66th & 97th open NFC

Lot 3 -
Thanks mate, and i do beleive racing is a very important part. we not only get feedback from others but also our own racing lofts and if they are not breeding winners they are gone into the big loft in the sky no matter of cost. as we would only sell y/b's that we would be happy to race Thanks John

I have been looking at this theory for a while and i am not convinced either way, i can see the plus side of the theory. however i have handled many good birds even champions which do not conform. so the jury is still out for me. mind you i always wonder why you never hear of any theory's in other sports. I have never heard of Fergie checking Rooney's toes or Martin Pipe looking at one of his horses throats or a Dog trainer checking out the dogs leg structure etc etc John
