I agree 200 max but not convinced about all from one source. I can understand why but to me the concept of one loft races is to test your birds on a level playing field against others. When receiving birds they should be received in small batches and isolated for a few days before introduction but even having all birds from one source won't eliminate the chances of sickness etc.

These pigeons were purchased in the last 2 years from a show racer fancier, who not wishing to show against his own birds, had either removed or de-faced the rings himself so as this couldn't happen! This is his own perogative as far as i'm concerned as the birds were his own property at the time! Without being transfered they are not yours!

At least you admit to selling birds that are not yours! :-/

Only if he's an RPRA members and to be honest they will tell you to take it to tradeing standards!

Last year I was only there for a meeting on Sunday morning as my wife was in hospital but a guy was on another forum asking about birds he had purchased from Blackpool! It turned out he got the from D&T Lofts, they told him not to worry about transfers and it wasn't until after he got home he realised the ring numbers had been ground off! Hense the thread back in August.

Who noticed a D & T Lofts join the forum? Sure they'll put there side of the story!

they will be fine, breed from them, train the youngster well when flying and they should be just right for dove release.

There are a number of people, including myself that reported this excuse for a fancier/feather merchant and i'm sure there will be many of us with appropriate telephone numbers in our mobiles if he's there again next year!

the first background is good, not to fussy

eye's better but don't clutter the background up to much as it takes it away from a nice looking bird.

nice, i wouldn't have the mirror image of the feet though.

The show is also still under DEFRA which would require a record of ring numbers and vendors details to be kept i beleive, but they probably wern't!

Check the thread back in August, It wasn't me wanting birds from him it was somebody he had sold birds to that he had ground the ring numbers off as you will know if you check your old pm's but you were very defensive of him at that point as well!

crazy, realy feel for you. get some security lights as well it will deter them when the lights come on.
