if I was starting again I would find out who the best local fanciers where, try if possible to get some latebred from them or birds similar to the family they are flying as I would know that whatever the breed was it would fly to that area.
Friends of mine (Mr & Mrs Collin Hill) have an old family of Buschaerts. I have handled them may times, they are always in excellent feather and are like peas in a pod. There results at all distances speak for themselves.
if he has thrown no10 flight then he didn't finish his moult, this won't be a problem as by the time you start training it will have grown back. as for the snapped flight you can either stick a new one in or I wouldn't worry about it, its the last 4 flights that are the most important.

you would be better to promote your canvas printing with photographers as they will own the copyright to the pictures!
The owner of the pigeon will have a picture but the photgrapher will have the negative or digital image!
I keep all my old negatives and digital images incase anybody comes back for another copy!
If you do a deal with the photographers and provide them with samples to display they can then promote them!
I don't think so, pigeon photographs can be expensive as they are.
Not all of us charge high prices but I don't think anybody offers a canvas bonded option and I can't realy see the point of having a pigeon photo bonded.
I would rather see it painted.
Pigeon racing is all about patience gladdo! You have a lot to learn and i'm sure you will get there but many fanciers take a lifetime to acheive there goals and many never achieve there goals!

He is the NPA sec and would be able to put you in touch with the breed club if there is one.
you should just be greatful for what you get Gladdo and when you get them!
If people are kind enough to offer you should just be greatful, if somebody was chasing me for something i was giving away and being acused of letting people down then they would be getting there rings back!
def doesn't sound like moths, have you a pic of a flight you can post Chrissy?
Try spaying the loft out regularly with duramitex or similar then as sugested hang up vaponas but not the sticky strips any where near the birds!
I went on holiday and left my mum to finish hand rearing a kakariki, when i came back it had started flying and managed to get stuck to a fly strip and lost feathers removing it!
There are a lot of good shows but it depends on what you want from them.
If you just like to go and have a look then Blackpool can't be bettered but if you are wanting to start showing then join your local society and show there. Showing at the society shows will help you build your team and enable you to talk to fellow members, handle there birds and even talk to the judges for advise. At Blackpool you can't even get to handle the birds!
Once you are holding your own at a society then you can raise your sights to the open shows.
