  5. Spot on Stuart, but also there is no such thing as a pure bred pigeon, you trace any family and there will be crosses which were used to form a so called family in the first place. Phil
  6. David pm'd me about the eggs which I think are clear. You've done a great job David and i'm sure after all this time he will stay especialy when he knows if he goes out for a fly his hen is sat inside waiting for him. I would wait until they have reared 1 nest and are sitting another nest before you think of letting the hen out. Always keep them in on a saturday and if the weather is bad on a saturday then keep them in on sunday as there will be a lot of race birds about. Phil

If it cost £10 per bird to race them then how many do you think people would breed then? Sure people would only breed from the best and not 100 hopeing to get the odd good bird! Phil

    stray birds

The RPRA havn't got a clue and have there head in the sand, deaply burried! Last weekend, birds still being raced from restricted AI area! Birds being sent over the channel 2 weeks running and being in 2 results! Birds being double rung raced 1 week with 1 number and the next week with the other number! All reported to the reddings with no comment received on any of above. If they don't act DEFRA will pull the plug on all of us! Phil
  22. Do I remember reading somewhere there is a mentoring group! Maybe we should try and match newcomers with members in there area for guidence? Phil

If the stray centres are set up then there should be a nominal charge for holding the birdsto cover food etc.
  25. They have guidelines they must follow and following the problem we had after a driver hit a tree a memo was suposed to be sent out to all depots to remind them of there duty of care! Clearly hasn't had any effect! Phil
