  3. This has reached a whole new chapter for a wonderful publicity story! I wish all strays fell into such careing hands. Phil
  4. I think this is just a case of people looking for more excuses! It's easy to blame everything but themselves and if they take a look at there own methods, hygene, amount of training etc then they may find more reasons for losses! Phil
  5. don't believe all you hear at moots etc! Do you think top fanciers are going to tell you everything? Phil
  6. they normally sell them with the ring card, but the ring cards then need to be sent to the RPRA who will register them and stamp them. Any with unstamped ring cards can not be raced!
  7. I'm not sure he can race them with all those on! Think the RPRA only accept certain rings.

  11. another week and the young one will be up in the sputnik looking out!
  12. keep up the good work and keep it simple and consistant, that way you won't go far wrong! Phil
  13. 8' deep sections are going to be very dark in the back unless you have roof lights!
  14. Better of sweet talking the boss and having a longer loft rather than a deeper loft.
  15. ok, go for 12 x 8 with 3 sections then, 1 with nest boxes and 2 with perches. loft in the pic would be ideal. Phil
  16. my father usualy catches 40 - 50 a year but because they are territorial others move in from other areas although they don't get the problems they used to before the restriction was lifted. Phil
  17. I would go for a 20 x 8 with 4 sections and a corridor along the front. 2 sections with nest boxes and 2 with perches then the space infront of the loft leaves room to pave it or put a tidy platform to keep the boss happy. You also need to think about how you plan to race, open door or traps for ETS etc. Phil
  18. if you know any gamekeepers they will have them and idealy you want a decoy bird from another area as the ones in your area will go into the trap to attack it! Phil
