    everybody seems to be losing birds at the moment, trainers have time to return yet, keep your chin up!

  5. He will take a couple of weeks to tidy up around head etc. Best thing to do is give plenty of regular baths but no need to change what your doing. Phil

  8. it is a requirement and should be printed on entry forms but that doesn't meen they are vaccinated.

  12. rather than just finding another vet that could be just as bad or worse, have a look for a defra aproved vet or an avian specialist! Phil

  17. firstly the vet has treated blind and should be struck off, clearly not knowing what it is and probably not prescribing any aftercare! Phil
  18. Some think that if there birds are all in 1 basket they will stick together at lib and home ina batch!
  19. Vets know sh** about pigeons and Baytrill is there default cure all!!! Probably done more harm than good! Phil
  20. We have done it before Tony but it didn't make any difference. Found some were still sending knowing they had problems just leaving sick birds at home and sending the ones that looked ok at basketing! Phil
  21. there is no treatment, some birds do recover from it but most don't.

    its anoying when you give birds away and people let them out without letting you know.
  23. No treatment, if still showing signs now then unlikely to recover. Get all the others vacinated though! Phil
  24. But as somebody said earlier it would be impossible as 1 member may send 2 birds and another send 50 and a transporter wouldn't be able to take enough individual baskets for its members.
  25. a lot of fanciers wouldn't recognise a sick pigeon!
