And they've struck again!
Just got back froma club meeting and a members had a bird returned by Amtrak, they rang the member while parked outside his house as he was working around the corner. The driver said he had a pigeon for him but it was dead!
The member went around to the house and the driver had succesfuly diagnosed it was dead but was still demanding money for the delivery!
The member refused to pay! Amtrak have since sent another driver to recover the money and have now said they will not deliver or collect from the member!

My race partners got an African Grey, doesn't stop talking or whistleing the birds in, weve just got celestial parrotlets and lovebirds, along with the dogs, rabbits, chickens, and bantems!
Not sure where you are Strapper, but from here South would be the best option. Some have tried swithching to north around here and got wipped out.

Nigel, the best way would be to all go together, even if it was split north and south would be better but they will never do it!
The SWW liberated yesterday 9.05 from Newbury and returns wern't brilliant and they wouldn't have clashed.
2 years ago it was proposed that we liberate with Rhonnda, this happened for the first couple of races and then if there was any north in the wind they wouldn't lib as the birds would go down the M4 and if there was any south in the wind the M4 members didn't want to lib together!
They need there heads banging together and work as one!

Linda is one of the forum members who live in the USA and will be able to give you contact details for the local union so that the owner can be found and the bird can hopefully be returned.

Linda, MrsB will be your best bet for help on this one as she is in the USA, most members on here are in the UK.
Has anybody got Linda's contact details or is there anybody else on in the USA?
Phil
lots of people SHOUTING!, Its a shame the seller couldn't have made the advert clear with all the correct details.
It would have saved some a lot of wasted time and effort!
Maybe this is a lesson to others planning to sell birds.

Fancy pigeon keepers don't seem to bother to much about the moult etc as they are judged to a standard where as the Show Racers etc we want to be looking at there best!
