if you have an aim, to win the national etc it doesn't matter what strain the birds are. You will blend birds together which carry the desired traits and eventualy develop the required type of bird to achieve your goal. Most top winners are crosses and most who insist on maintaining bloodlines are only doing so for financial gain and not to produce top racers for themselves. IMO

with all the technology available it would be good to see all libs filmed and the films posted for all to view, it would certainly prevent all the rumours that are spread after poor races as it would show the weather conditions and visibility etc.
