  1. this would do the job if smaller! This is an advanced GPS satellite positioning system tracker with precise tracking of an object anywhere in the world, works on all available GSM/GPRS mobile networks 850/900/1800/1900MHZ. Can be used to prevent vehicle theft, children protection, old people, pets, covert tracking, covert listening, etc... FEATURES: Support non-server based location Location memorization Auto location report Authorize/delete the tracking phone number Covert alert & voice surveillance Geo-Fence: alert in case of breaching the predefined district Movement alert: alert in case of movement Speed alert: alert in case of excess of the predefinded speed Power alert: alert when device is being switched off HOW IT WORKS Simply insert a GSM sim card into the GPS unit. Whenever you call the unit it will respond with the coordinates of its location thru a SMS message. You can then use these coordinates on any mapping software (for example google earth) which will show where exactly the unit is located. With some little setup, you can also have the device to send the data directly to a computer thru GPRS and display its location on a map with our bundled software for real-time location tracking. For more detailed instruction, you can click the following link to see the menu: General Menu (General setup & tracking thru SMS) Menu for the PC Tracking Application
  2. I think it would be much better to transmit, real time then you could track the bird enroute. You would know where it is, what line it is taking and if it stopped or when its nearly home!
  3. well done Bob, i know you've spent time and money putting your birds together and its great to give others the opportunity to try them as well.
  4. Gem do GPS but not sure about cammera

I agree, returns didn't seem to be good, think Tom is just trying to make them look better than they were!
  9. that is correct as far as the RPRA are concerned but the WHU state that non WHU rings must be registered with them as foreign rings to compete in races/shows held under the WHU rules.
  10. It is a stupid rule and members have lost out on positions but until somebody changes the rule we're stuck with it.
  11. Birds purchased by Mickb and money on its way to Gail for Valindre. Thanks to all who were interested. Phil

    BIRDS FOR SALE

They will fly, and yes i've won with them also crossed but most are brain dead and need a lot more care when training.

    Wild pigeons

many many older fanciers will have started this way, no money to spend so collect sqwabs from church or bridges etc. I know somebody that was winning with them recently and called them "van streeters"!
  14. if in future you require to transfer the birds with GB rings you use a RPRA transfer. If you race with a WHU affiliated club or National then the birds need to be registered with the WHPU but would still be transfered through RPRA. The reason is purely for varification purposes. Phil

not picking holes but as you will have read many times its not a good idea to treat blind, if you suspect a problem then test and treat accordingly!
  18. whoever has merged threads has made this thread nonsensical! Strappers question about Metz along with reply from Tom and my question have now been lost and meaningless!

why have you treated for coxoid?
  20. is that all? How many birds went?
  21. Crates of birds have been left on transporters but as has been said current rules should prevent it from happening now! If the birds were found when the transprter would have been returned to your area wouldn't you expect the birds to come home together and not hours apart! Just accept they were not good enough!
  22. only if he doesn't get lost! ;D ;D ;D
