a fancier with poor management CANT blame his pigeons for not winning, ive seen them training in january feb and march and expect that pigeon to win a 500 mile race in july,,, 40 tosses in cold east winds, then having 11 races week after week up to 360 miles and 3 tosses a week while there racing,ITS THE FANCIER THAT SHOULD GO IN THE BIN.

sorry for being so late in answering,silverwings but it did pass down through its progeny, but noticed some were more" vicious" than others, but all seems very calm at other times , but changed when they had or were given ybs.iit also seemed the" vicious" ones were the better ones.

i would tend to agree with chris but would add, providing" their management was right"i would have to say a lot of good pigeons are ruined, by ignorance or poor management, so b 4 i would" bin"i would have a good look at my managerial skills, and blame the pigeon last.

the other things that amaze me, is how quickly they pick up habit,,i.e if a bird jumps out the sputnick once, it will allways do that, if a bird feeds out your hand once it will allways do that, if a bird gets a fright as a yb in trapping ,it will allways be a bad traper, same as a bird that might fly over your head at the door opening ,it will allways do that, they only seem to do a thing once and never forget it, amazing things at times :)
