e mailed scotsman as a non pigeon fancier, about the hawks etc itll probably do know goood ,but worth a try

ive sent an email in to the scotsman. explaining the hawk situation ,and the possible threat they pose as carriers for this desease as they are feeding on ducklings and chickens etc anybird in fact, but the rspb are still releasing them to breed in the wild, and off course they are protected, and left to possibly spread this desease,, but know one seems to mention these dangerous birds. i dont suppose theyll do anything but its worth a try.

looks like some kind of injury to me,maybe caught in a spring trap, but the birds should be put down,where are the rspb or the rspca, when needed? they should be finding out the reason, for this [ seems that someone has done this , read the paper report after i posted,,terrible]

HAD YBS BROKE LEGS AT THE ELBOW PART,OR THE ANKLE PART, FOUND THE BEST WAY WAS LEAVE THEM,,,WITHIN A DAY OR TWO THE MANAGE FINE HOPPING ON ONE LEG AND WILL BE OK IN A FORTNIGHT,[ ITS A BIT DIFFERANT FURTHER UP,] PUTTING SPLINTS ON HAS TO BE DONE QUITE EXPERTLY, AS THE LEG OR FEET START TO SWELL ,AND THERES ACTUALLY MORE DAMAGE DONE TO THE BIRD.[NOT RECOMMENDED BY NEWSTARTERS]
