the old show will be greatly missed, sad to see it not been held after all these years, my old dad used to take me there every year as a boy, and at that time it was great talking and listening to some of the old "greats" of the fancy.

ive been to the petelee show, in fact i judged there once, found the most freindliest people, easy to get along with, with a great sense of humour, i surmise the n,e, show will be something along the same lines

yip ,theres certainly more downs than ups in pigeon racing, but thats what makes winning a race more valuable, i hope you get more of your birds back , they do have a knack at surprising you at times

agree with hyacinth , we often spend all our time cleaning lofts . when the cocci oocysts and worm eggs etc are all thriving in healthy damp conditions [to them]out side the loft, better with concrete slabs or chips which are easy to spray and brush down, with disenfectant [virkon s]

these birds origally belonged to the late mickie b, ive fostered out all his[about 50] birds, to good homes, this pair i bred off myself this year, due to the circumstances the only details i have is that they are s,v,r, and have bred winners, all these birds were offered on the for sale column , at the rediculous price of 10 pounds each , when mickie was going to give part of this money to pigeon basics,,,,,,,,,if he had put 100 pounds each ,he probably would have sold them :) thats pigeon fanciers for you, :) 8 g children bred down from a pair that had won 11,12 times between them,at over 500 miles, went to a freind of mine in fife, free, they had been looked after for the past year by his young daughter, who did her best, but all they needed was a bit of t,l,c. which i know this pair will get at,,," keep s, q,s"

yes i would give my racing pigeons vit b complex thats why i mixed the brewers yeast with the depurative ,and other vits ;D ;D ;D i thought speck meant she was eating it herself;D ;D the depurative is easily digested, but doesnt contain the vits of normal grain, but handy to keep the weight off them for short to middle distance races, when needed :) :)so for a long way round ,,,i agree with you speck ;D ;D ;D ;D, but could have put the post longer ;D ;D ;D
