i think roland that the sun has a lot to do with it ,i think when they are left for so long and see the sun , it makes big differance on them clearing

yes i also beleive this , if you have a pair of stock birds that are regularly turning out good pigeons these birds are worth more than all the paperi beleive a lot of fanciers to just top up to make numbers and" see how they get on"rather than be really selective,with smaller numbers

their just fancy pigeons wings and not for racing, some fanciers show them , so its each to his own ;D ;D

i use peppers as well ,, the sunday peppers the daily peppers , but put them on the floors of nest boxes ;D ;D ;D ;D just joking wiley, but see your point i prefer if poss to get them out every day , enough time to clean the loft [not on horrible damp days]as many baths as poss , as this induces the moult in itself, a higher protein diet, with a handfull of red band

quite agree with brunos post ,, this had been the warmest september on record ave 3 degrees higher than of the past , so definately weather is changing ,,,and as for training in march, april, well the east winds would cut you in two,,,,freezing,,, these birds would never last the season

with one dying previous to this [maybe coincidental] i should really take shadows advice and take it to the vet ,,as you have all your other birds to think about and off course your chickens as well.
