i would advise the same as square peg , go back to him and explain the situation honestly, if theres any decency in him he should put you right,,and to be fair the birds look bad now when their moulting , as far as the fret marks, these can be cause with a variety of reasons , it usualy means that when that particular flight was growing the bird has went through some sort of stress??whatever that stress may have been , the fancier should be able to tell you [if hes a decent fancier]

im getting a wee bit lost here toon barmy??you say you have a copy of the transfer,,,do you mean the receipt part,,,, or do you still hold the original transfer?? if you hold the original transfer and havent sent it to the union to be registered, the bird could be transferred to anyone by now, and its legally theirs,,,,,,but if its the duplicate [receipt transfer] which has been registered in your name , quite simply the bird is yours , and how could the seller sell the bird without a signed transfer form to accompany the bird

we do have, pigeon ,its on a weekly basis and really great fun ,ittl not be that long b4 it starts again , once the birds have cleaned up on the moult its an" on line" show , where you send in a photo of your bird , then each forum member is allowed one vote to decide the winner, youll find it great fun ;D

unfortunately its not hard to see that pigeon racing is a dying sport,,but its still there, and as long as its there , theres room for improvement,if each fancier went out their way to get one person , be them old ,young, male, or female, interested in the pigeons and involved with them , there would soon be more fanciers, i say this because many of us are too interested ourselves and our results to be bothered with this, a young person is only too keen if you let them see and handle ybs in the nest etc , then let them" own" a couple of birds, ive had this in the past, and went to the parents house and explained[for safety reasons] then had the father comming round to see "his sons" birds, then the father became interested,,and with the son pestering his mum and dad, managed to get a loft and a few birds and began racing them [the father is a very good fancier now]the young lad then became interested in the other birds, and for a while the pigeons took a back seat,, now that lad is married with a family and since started on his own [but not as good a flier as his father ;D ;D g.b ;D] so it can be done,,,,,,,then theres keith ;D took an interest in my birds at 11 years old and helped me a lot , now 18 going to get married just so he can get a house and garden to race pigeons ooh [its agood job i know his girl freind well ;D ;D ;D] ,,then theres gv top flier in club now ,better not say his age as hes getting older now ;D started him off at about 12year old and will joke ,ive never forgiven you for starting me up ;D ;D so it really is possible if we make the effort, and make it fun

thanks fifer , just had a phone call from linda shes had a drop of 6 birds unfortunately for me mines was not among them , but shes still waiting as it looks like another strange race ,,the 6 birds are doing 1600 vel but nothing since aprox over an hour ago she was saying it was one of the fastest velocities for this race in a long time, but give linda her due shes tried hard ,put a lot of work into them and at least the birds were still there to go to the race after the losses last week , so he best of luck to her :) shes a very busy lady today with about 4 races inc futirity race :) :)thanks for being a good sport linda :)
