Use to race pigeons short distances a mile.in years goonby the had clubs and raced many times in the one day,sometimes on an knockout basis. Been away for years

You right it will never work cause to many will look for problems with it.Two many scared or radical change. One thing for sure, save on fuel bill for the year and fill the transporter up the way it should be. You can be sure that the y/b will be home first 9 times out of 10. The financial implications of this make it at least worthy of further consideration. As would the increase in numbers of birds on the same flight path

Start the y/b season early June national in July. We start racing to early with o/b. We could do any age racing together, seperate baskets from the end of May start of June.y/b National taking place within this system when the 250 mile stage comes around mid July.

Our y/b national should be something any new start should like to take part, we are not making it easy.

Funny story, Many moons ago say 20/25 years.A young fancuier joined our club he was a boy of around 14. In his first year he won 4 out of the 6 y/b races. After his third win both myself and another local fancier visited his loft (Hut) no windows in complete darkness,like the old hands we were we advised the lad to open up his loft let some light on his birds. Can not recall him winning again.So this darkness has been around for sometime in one form or another
