  3. STB-Lifes great when you 13 points clear
  4. Well put mate, this is of great importance and a lot of fanciers do not give enough thought to this.Lot of good Articals on this site on the subject. What do you think of our Charlie Phil Rab

  7. All the best to you Duncan, sticks and stones may break your bones, but names you should never let hurt you Duncan. Re-consider Mate lot of good honest fanciers oon here mate. All the best whaterver you do. Rab Smith
  8. Run a small book with odds produced each week say from 10/1 down to 2/1 Fav couple pounds limit and you will be surprised how much this makes the Club over a season. We also use to run a league just as in football flying against each other over old and young birds £1 a week 50% to champions and 50% to club.Indeed many felt this was the best indicator of who had the best season as it was over the whole season.
  9. DoveScot what u like, still into the mince pies Duncan how you doing mate.
  10. Cheers look forward to competing against you next year, as i will be flying in Kilsyth, with the Glasgow fed. However unlike Homer i will focus on my pigeons, and not on the oppesition. 8)
  11. stb- I never said it would be easy, as for me i am far from the top, but had my turn. My post was about encouragemant for this fancier who worries for nothing. He would do well to enjoy his pigeons, and not worry about great names of someone who once won two races in a row.
  12. Best to think on your plans and don't worry about opposition. Try and read and find out as much as you can. Some fanciers will get a good early bird because of what they done in preperation. However some will get a good eairly pigeon in spite of what they may have done. So don't worry, you will get your turn it may just take sometime thats all. As for these great Fanciers they should tell you, it is much easier to get to the top, than it is to stay there. Good luck

  21. Thanks this sums up my problem, need lots of air and dont want to lose this at the expence of darkness. However the fact that it does not need to be pitch dark helps. At how long or at what age would you start this and how long to yiou keep thenm on it. Cheers
