  7. On behalf of all unikon users, i,ll phone them tomorrow to let them know what is being felt by us, and see if they can help in any way. I will let everyone know of the outcome, when i get home from work tomorrow.
  8. You,ve got me confused there wee/big brian ;D ;D ;D
  9. Brian, you know like the rest of us that will never happen. How hard can it be to put up a statement on their site beside the updates, clarifying all these questions. It beggars belief, but they have our money now, and no-one cares. :-/
  10. cheers to the two brians, and heres hoping ;D ;D
  11. Yes a right pain the arsenal aint it. :-/
  12. Just a wee update. I have opened all 12 boxes since i last posted. I have 4 boxes with young birds in the nest, and have 7 boxes with eggs. The loft is totally different, really calm and settled, so i am convinced it was confinement to boxes that caused me all my problems. Lesson learnt. Thank you very much to all who gave an opinion, very much appreciatted. All the very best to you all for 2010 and beyond. Alex.
  13. Where's ours to say otherwise :-/ :-/ :-/
  14. When i contacted Unikon, i asked the question, "do we need this £65 insurance", and i was told no its optional. I was not advised to take it or given the pro's and con's of taking it or not. So , the question is..... DO UNIKON KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING? and in my opinion, no they dont. They should all be singing from the same hymm sheet and telling everyone what is going on. I cannot accept that we need to insure something that doesnt belong to us. I agree that if malicious damage is done by the club whether it be deliberate or not, then the club is culpable. As sapper says, where is UNIKON when you most need them, knowhere, unless your willing to give them money. Very poor service :-/
  15. As documented before on a previous thread, i had a nightmare. 12 pair down within 5 days, and all hell let loose, loosing all but 5 young birds. However the route of the problem was confinement to boxes, which i,ve now done away with. I now have 4 nests on yb, and 6 nests on eggs. So fingers crossed i,m back on course. Lessons learnt hear for me, for sure. good luck with your own season
  16. What system do you have, professional or champ?
  17. Well done brian, i,m sure billy_g will be more than chuffed with that offer, good on ya
  18. Welcome back lawd, aboot time ;D
  19. Having read all about the ets posts up till now, i,m not surprised by these actions. The governing bodies and the manufacturers of the systems, have only themselves to blame. There are NO strict rules for the usage of the systems, and if there are half hearted rules, they all vary between unions. We in the united kingdom require a set of rules (and pictures if need be) to show and explain the proper way to use the systems. This will be the first of many situations i fear, and we need to approach our unions to put these rules out as soon as possible.
  20. I understand what you are saying, if it was your own system. However its a loaned system that they are recommending you insure. If you maliciously damage the system then you are culpable for all repairs. But if it breaks down, surely its up to the lender to repair it? :-/
  21. i dont know brian, we need clarification from the people in the know ie UNIKON. :-/
  22. contacted unikon today the 65 quid is optional, dont need to take, if u dont want.
  23. your welcome
  24. Go back onto unikon site and download the 3.9 programme, and all will be well. Then you will be asked to put a code in, thats when you need to call unikon for the code, hope this helps.
  25. Why would our members put a 20% increase on something thats a necessity for most, making us pay even more than we already do? :-/ doesnt make sense.
