are any of you entering any one loft races this year and which one are you entering .. i might put two into the northcoast classic for a wee interest ?

dont think it works imo

i had paratyphoid last year and baytril and parastop in my opinion doesnt cure them .. they might look the part after getting treated but will always be carriers therefore the youngters will have it and so on .. some pigeons show the symptoms swollen joints and twisting kneck but some only show it in times of stress e.g racing.. mines were coming back late and sitting like hedgehogs on the roof .. got my droppings tested and found it was para .. i culled all last years youngsters and i done my stock and old racers for paratyphoid this year and they looked down for a few days but they were ok after a few days .. if they dont come round after 10 to 14 days they could well be carriers .. the jag is very harsh on them i dont think i would vaccinate again unless i had an outbreak of it .. if the birds have been given cider vinegar this also can give them a bad reaction when injected .. !!

nice younging mate i have 12 hatched odd 1 in a nest with a blank but there coming on well took a while for some of the new birds to settle but all in there boxes now and will be all down on eggs within a week ..

6 pair brought in .. 3 pair lent to me .. got rid of all my van reets .. only kept 1 pair of them

its like everything it has its ups and downs .. you need to be always there on time to open up and shut up same time everyday .. no doubht your youngsters will look like yearlings and will compete better with the full wing .. but after racing it is essential you get them through the moult .. otherwise they will not be able to compete as yearlings .. plenty of stuff you can give them to speed the moult up after the racing !!

have a few birds and there roof of the mouth is shut .. i hear when its opened fully the birds are usually in good nick .. is this a bad sign when some are shut ?

what would you all reccommend as a good probiotic ? .. to get the good bacteria into the gut ? ..

they look good enough to eat man very nice

if there 14 days old before you get rings your leaving it late mate .. very painful for the birds getting rings on at that age .. they may not even go on .. if there well fed big youngings

painted mine and its the sorryest thing i ever done .. every few months now it needs redone .. shows all the droppings more .. nightmare !!

darkness is a nightmare to get them through the moult .. id advise you not to pair them up until there fully through it
