  1. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D there here if ye want them
  2. right Danny, do you want these birds or not, think before ye answer
  3. Exactly my thoughts Alec,
  4. The fact of the matter is, everybody comes into the pigeon game very aware of the ultimate in pigeondom. That is distance racing, getting a good timer from a great distance. A race that tests the homing ability to the full, a race that tests the heart of a bird and the will to get home. It brings a tear to your eye when you think of such achievements put up by these small bundles of feathers.Joe 61 and Timberra your son can say what you want , but I know that if you were offered such a pair of birds then you would be ordering a new loft for your distance doos.
  5. Put your hand in your pocket and plenty will help you out m8.
  6. ten a penny m8
  7. Aye but you would change your views if you were offered the above
  8. Yes, lets say 400 miles and over,
  9. Afraid Paul, Im on lookout for such a pair myself ;D
  10. This is just hypothetical, a guy said to me that not everybody is into distance pigeons. I said, I think he is wrong, if they were offered a pair GUARANTEED to breed a winner in every nest , at the distance, then they would then be interested in distance racing.
  11. If you were an out and out sprint racer and you were offered a pair of pigeons that bred an National Diploma winner ( at the distance ) guaranteed in every nest, would you want them ? I think I know the answer but to settle an argument please put up your views.
  12. You dont want to be puncturing its crop more than once, therefore stick the needle into crop, leave needle in so you can squeeze air out through needle. When deflated, carefully take needle out and put a little vaseline on the puncture. I had a hen that returned from a race like this, a few weeks later she won the section ,almost 5 hours ahead of second bird, from 510 miles.
  13. Well done m8, good flying, whats winning velocity?
  14. You bet. I wish everyone of my birds could rough it for 6 weeks and then come back.Definately makes them better pigeons. What I have noticed is, the very next stiff race they encounter, you will either time the bird scoring a high position, or you will never see it again.
  15. A weeks rest, mate her up, down on eggs, 2 or 3 trainers and into race.Put your money on her. Dont kid yourself that this is a bad pigeon because it has lay out.Every minute it was away from home ,it was learning. I wouldnt send her to too many races because of the last flight not been thrown. You will probably find that she will throw first and last together. So, this means that you have a few weeks only from when she lays, to get her raced.
