  1. Am I correct in saying that both feds are at Catterick this weekend? If so, I think its time to get together lads. Two transporters going down the road with a few hundred doos in them both??? Common sense must come into it here. Also, surely its a great opportunity for any West Region fanciers that want a wee bit more distance into their birds in prep for the upcoming nationals.
  2. 100% correct Mick, I couldn’t believe the birds were liberated with the heavy rain around them.
  3. They would've nipped a lot of the nonsense in the bud Davy. Time to get back to basics and get the experienced fanciers meeting up in the off season with a primary view of taking the sport forward.
  4. Its hard to find any positives in the sport at the moment. A think tank has to be put in place in the off season to get things sorted. Too many cowboys running the game into the ground. We couldn't agree on the colour of s hite !!! BOP, YB Sickness, clashing etc etc but the biggest challenge the sport has at the moment is the pigeon fanciers themselves. We don't talk about good doos winning now, its all about returns, hawks, yb sickness negative, negative, negative. So and so lost this and that but nobody mentions the fact he/she won the race. The sport is taking a nose dive and it can be sorted very easily but everyone has to play the game with each other. The mentality of the pigeon fancier has changed over the years, with most loving the grief of others losing their pigeons. Pathetic imo. Time for a major shake up !!! Lanarkshire /Glasgow doos going up and down A69 Dal
  5. Just heard flocks of doos were spotted flying up and down A69 all day Sunday.
  6. Hahaha its meant to be Catterick but that may have changed lol ps. Im a better doorman than a dooman lol
  7. Are Glasgow at Catterick ?
  8. Got yb back in pissin rain there, first one ,since 7 am yesterday . 45/70 and 3 now reported , one in Bradford, 2 in Cumbria.
  9. ok Dal, i'll give him a call
  10. I have a yb in Bradford from yesterdays race, the fella says he has 2 S rings in as well. SU20S4981 red ch, SU20S6281 blue, think this belongs to A.Hay, ironically.
  11. Ive said it 100 times Kevin, things can easily be sorted but the clowns in the game prevent it
  12. Not sure Kevin, weather, hawks or maybe a combination of both.
  13. only 2 early this morning, no more since
  14. The guy said there were lots of stray pigeons about him Jamie.

    Disaster

Believe me , our voices have not been heard and we have been kept muted for too long. As for being professional , our game is run by folk that know nothing about any aspect of it. So, to a degree, you are correct, professionalism isn’t part of the pigeon sport anymore .

    Disaster

Yb race from Hexham today was a complete disaster. I've never seen pigeons as dehydrated on return from a race. They were sooking water off the roof and gutters. It was bad enough the conditions they had to home in but the state of the birds on return was disgraceful. I'm the best returns I know down here ( Glasgow ) with 36/70. Sixteen of those birds were later bred pigeons away on their first race. I have only one of those back. TERRIBLE RACE
