I dont know of any who received notification of the AGM, regardless if they wish to attend or not, they should be sent the balance sheet .Their is no excuse for this. Lets see how many didnt get notified......... NOT ME!!

The club/marking station gets £40 a race and the convenor £40 a race to buy food and drink for the workers.It may have changed since I was convenor but thats what happened a few years ago.

Anyone going to the GOLD CUP RACE will go, simple as that.If you are stopped from sending for a trivial reason then you are not a committed distance fancier imo.

What you talking about Andy? Double handling? Your taking someones basket and sheet to the marking station for them, whats hard about that? As I said before, it was done before with great success and it benefitted the fanciers, the pigeons and the result. This should be done for the GOLD CUP, the main race of the year.

Geo, as I said,the SNFC subsidised people to bring north, south and outlying fanciers birds to the central marking station before without any problem whatsoever. Its about benefitting yer doos, nothing else. This way, ye wont be travelling at all.Yer doos will be taken for ye.

It could take a day off the basketting for the Gold cup doos, then that in itself makes it worthwhile Jim. Security and getting the doos spread about the baskets are two key factors as well. Nobody would pull out from going to the main event of the year because it was central marking imo. If they did, they arent committed to the Gold cup race, omho!!

It should be central marking for the GOLD CUP especially. We need security, birds getting mixed properly,and professional handlers and administrators.Birds should be marked Wed for Fri race or flexibility if the forecast is really bad..Outlying areas can have their birds brought in by someone with a large van and the SNFC would subsidise their expenses.Or , share a car with someone and it covers travelling costs. This has all been done before WITH GREAT SUCCESS but everybody wants spoon fed nowadays. Lets bring the SNFC back to its once envied status, the most prestigious club in the British Isles.

Why dont they have the AGM the same day as the show, everybodys there and yer guaranteed a good attendance. Its premeditated to hold it when the least folk are interested imo. If nobody attends then the hierarchy can do and push through what they want.This is basic politics lol.

Terrible organisation, it was the same when we won £6000 in it a few years ago, we waited months for the money. Thats the reason I never re entered this race.
