Hi all this is my first year breeding and one of my hens has lost her m8,will she carry on bringing up the babies on her own also would it help if I shut her in with the young. Thanx

Had a phone call today about a baby pigeon that is injured and kids throwing it about. Got it back home and checked it over it looks like its leg is broken as it cannot walk and its swollen, feeding well and drinking got it in a cage on its own but what is the best thing to do for its leg. Just wish I saw the kids doin it . Atb Michael

Never been boxed and comes out in the garden with me at least 3 times a week

Let one of my racers out today in the garden and he can't seem to fly, normally he fly straight to the roof and follows me round the garden flying from fence to fence ( he won't leave the garden) . When thrown up into the air he seems to have no strength in his wings, yet he is chasing his mate about , also seems to be holding his wings low , eating drinking well and droppings fine gets git and minerals and there don't seem to be any other problems . Any ideas

hi all Im getting some youngsters. They have just been weaned do i need to feed them a different feed to my pigeons at the moment mine are on a winter mix from a local shop. Thanx also what age would i expect them to become mature enough to breed.

i always wanted them when i was a kid, i helped a man next door who is still going even tho he is losing his sight. The misses is slowly coming round to the idea the only thing is i had to get rid of my avairy and my canarys

Hi all iv just got the transfer through for the pigeon that the owner longer wanted, it has settled in great, let it out today and it circled round and came down when i called also followed me into the house and was not bothered about the dog. I have now built a bigger loft so it now lives with my pair of tumblers i just wish they was as good as him. Cheers Michael

Hi all thanx for your replys spoke to his union today there going to look into it. Have told them i don't won't any contact from owner. Pigeon doing well its in a avairy on its own at the moment my little girl loves it so i am going to see if i can get it transfered over to me, might see if i can some more if the misses lets me . Hi all Got a young racer in on Monday. Rang the owner and was told to dispose of it as he as had a bad year. Its in good health. Under weight. Don't want to kill it as its a nice bird. I don't keep racers only tumblers. As i am new to this hobby any advise would be great.

E tried to get to breed had plenty of eggs but they either smash them or just don't sit. The last owner had the same problem

So i was told.look at my last post

got the cock back again, the last owner caught it. So back to the drawing board, gonna keep him in for another 6weeks then let them out together if they go again will try the onion in a bag. Thanx for the advice Michael
