  1. thanx m8 when they went before the bloke never fed them and they never went into his loft after 5 days i manage to catch them. So with a bit of luck he might come back
  2. had the pair since January tried them out together as that didn't work was told to try one at a time that ain't worked was told to keep them in for 6weeks and that would be enough time for them to settle. Tried them when hungry. Thanx
  3. Hi all let my cock out on his own today and he went again straight back to his old home so that didn't work. Don't know what to try next, a man down the road who has racing pigeons has told me to kill them and get some more. Im not doing that. Any more ideas thanx Michael

  5. thanx m8 i didn't know you could get tumbler feed i have been getting a pigeon mix from local pet shop. They have access to minerals and grit and i also give them filtered water as i advised. This is the second time the eggs have been like this. Does it affect the fertility of the eggs. Thanx
  6. Hi all As i am new to keeping pigeons i need abit of info. I am trying to get a round of youngsters of my tumblers. They have laid eggs but they don't look right there is no shine to the eggs and they feel rough is it because it lack of calcium if so would it help if i put cuttle fish on there food or are they lacking something else. thanx Michael

  9. Hi all Thanx for all your info to my last topic, still not back. My friend who is no the last owner is trying to trap my birds as they are still sat on his roof. Its been 5 days since their last feed. He lets his birds out daily but they won't follow his birds down. Im getting worried now as there the only pair i have got. Not a great start to keeping pigeons thanx Michael

  11. Spoke to the bloke rpra today at malvern show and he basically told me there is no chance of getting them to settle

  13. thanx for all your info. They have been gone since yesterday, i did tell the bloke not to feed them. He said he tried to get them down but they were having none of it. If is going to try and catch them tomoz and box them up have told him not to to feed them as i will do it when i get them back.

On the front of my loft there is a all wire box so they can see about, the problem is the bloke i got them off only lives 200yards away i can see his house from my garden, when the cock flies first he circles my house the hen comes out and heads straight back then the cock follows. I can see them now there sat on his roof. How long do you let them wander around each day cheers Michael
  15. Hi all im new to the pigeon world been interested since i was a kid. Back in January i was given a pair of west of England tumblers with the loft, only a small loft big enough for a couple of pairs, the problem is i have let then out twice and every time they go back to the last owner. I they have been shut up for the last 3 months, i was told they should be settled within a few weeks. Have tried to get them to nest but every time they lay the eggs get smashed what am i doing wrong not bothered about breeding just won't them to fly and come back. Did not feed them the day before i let then out. any help would be great i don't won't to keep them locked away. thanx Michael
