hi everyone. does anyone know where i can buy the big cardboard boxes that the couries use. i had some but when i am not here i have to leave the birds boxed up for the couries. i do ask for a replacement box but some of the drivers just pick them up and leave without leaving boxes. if i cant buy any do you think the couries would take them in a cardboard box from the supermarket with holes put in or do they have to be proper burd boxes. thanks everyone.all the best kev

Good evening everyone, hope you are all well. I have been talking to a bloke today who asked at what sort of age is a young bird to old to go to another loft and still be able to be let out and race to his new loft. I said at about six weeks as after that they get strong on the wing, is this correct or can they still go to a new home if they are a bit older. thanks kev

Hi Boys and Girls Ever since I have kept pigeons in wooden lofts, as the lofts get older the mice seem to chew the backs of the lofts and make holes. Next year I will be moving to pastures new with the spencroft Kirkpatricks and I am now looking at brand new pigeon lofts. Are there any fancier's out there who have this problem and are there lofts out there that are mouse chew prof, ie made of other materials. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

Hi everybody Due to changing family circumstances from the end of this years breeding season i will no longer be able to keep my birds at home. Its a shame but i am separating from my wife and we need to sell up. Over the last 10 years i have built a family of Kirkpatricks and was wondering if there was anybody out there who could keep them for me until i got sorted out. I think it would be a shame just to give them up and really want to keep them going. I will get them down to the bear minimum but it would still be about 60 birds. of course i would pay for everything and pay for the help im getting. I know i have months to go but i need to know in my mind whats going to happen to them Hope your all having a better new year than i am All the best Kev spencroft lofts

The reason being they are getting on now and i would like to put the pictures in the BHW when i put my adverts in. Does anyone know of someone who can take really nice photos. I live in wisbech in Cambridgeshire so will be looking around that sort of area i know i will have to travel but dont want to go to far. thanks kev

Hi just been down the loft and picked up a bird that was a bit ruffed up, slight noise when breathing and a white wax substance in his mouth. Do you think this is canker. I have been told that all birds carry canker but i have never had one like this before. I will have to nip down the pet shop tomorrow to see if they have anything. What do you give birds with canker and do i treat this bird or treat the whole loft. thanks for taking the time to read this all the best kev
