Because i now dont race these birds, but sell them its better to keep them as pure as possible . All my pigeons are from louella, apart from my kirkpatricks that are crossed with Kirkpatricks from mr g Dawes of firs loft and i like to keep them within their familes as they sell better and i let the buyers decide what they mix in with them. The only out crosses i do is breed federation winner to federation winner. I will also be racing these in one loft races this year to see how they do against my inbred familes. Hi i was wondering what two strains the members of pigeon basics would pick out of Jan Aarden, Staf van reet or Vandenabeele for one loft racing. Im going to race my Kirkpatricks, Busschaerts and Janssens this year in one loft racing and im now looking forward to next year. I have a few pairs of the above strains, but have to downsize, so one of the strains has to go, so was wondering which two strain you think would be best to keep. All the best Kevin

Hi Ive had a very good response on my search for federation winning pigeons from the members of this site. I just need a little bit of information on one of these birds if anyone could help. I have just bought a stunning pigeon, first class but need a bit more info on him. His ring number is GB07A00441 he won 1st club, first fed Exeter for Mr and Mrs Carl Turner of crewe. Could anyone tell me how many miles he flew, what the birdage was, what date he done it on and what vol was he doing. If anyone is selling any fed winning pigeon could you let me know. I work full time so this is only going to be a part time evening service and im only going to collect and deliver 80 miles driving distance from my postcode. Could any one tell me what insurance i need. I have business cover on my car but was wondering what else i needed.
