  3. Hello folks I was talking to a bloke about fantails and he was telling me there is a breed of fantail called lace or silky fantails that do not fly. I would really like some pure white lace fantails. Does anybody know of anyone who breeds these flightless fantails. If you do could you let me know please. kind regards Kevin

  8. lol yes i should know but i always seem get it wrong by a week or so. When the time comes to take the birds i always think to myself is this one to old to take or should i had left that one at home because it is a few days younger than what they want. Just thought i would put the topic out there and maybe it might answer a question that some one else was thinking. Thanks for your reply Lanarkshire lad Take care Kev Spencroft kirkpatricks
  9. Hi all, I would like to ask your advice of when you would pair your birds if you needed to have young birds from them ready at about 20/2/2017 and they needed to be about 35 days old for one loft racing. The pairs would be pairs that were together last year. thanks for your help kev
  10. thanks for your advice every one.
  11. Good evening everyone. Does anyone know of a pigeon photographer, say within 50 miles radius of peterborough. I have just got a pigeon back from the midland national one loft race and i hope to buy back my pigeon from the RPRA one loft race and would like some nice photos done of them. I could try myself on my phone but would really love to have it done properly. take care Kev Spencroft kirkpatricks

  14. thanks for your help my friend
  15. cheers bilt, just been reading an old topic on here and it stated that yellow cock to red hen will give me yellow daughters and red sons. Now i have a section of yellow kirkpatricks and i would prefer yellow daughters than the blue daughters. I dont have many red stock hen but do have a fair few mealy stock hens. Do you think that is i put my yellow cock birds to my red and mealy stock hens i would get yellow daughters and red sons cheers mate
  16. Ok maybe not the best topic title, but i didnt know what else to put. i seem to have a load of cock birds and seem to be a bit short of hens. So next year i need to breed my birds, but keep some of my hens. Does any one know of a way of knowing, by breeding the sex of there young birds. I did read that group red hens, including mealies and yellows, if bred with a blue bar, blue cheq or dark cheq cock will produce red group cocks and blue bar, blue cheq and dark cheq hens. is this correct and are there any other colour mixes that will tell me what the sex will be. As most of you know i breed kirkparicks so have plenty of colours in the loft lol. I feel that i have not explained what i wanted to say properly but i hope you understand what i mean.. Take care kevin spencroft kirkpatricks
  17. Thanks for the comments Jast and fletch. If you ever want a few to try, let me know and i will breed you some take care Kev
  18. Hi all, hope you are all well. I know some people were interested on knowing how i got on in the RPRA one loft race. Well the spencroft kirkpatricks, in my opinion held their own this year in the RPRA oneloft race. They flew all the hot spot races and in the big final race my GB16v18391 "spencroft pride and joy" took the 43rd position flying from Ainwick to Birtsmorton a distance of 235 miles where 541 birds were marked. I look forward to breeding the best kirkpatricks again next year and again flying them in the RPRA one loft race. Take care Kev Spencroft kirkpatricks
  19. Hi all, hope you are well. I was just about to send off for my 2017 rings but was unsure if i had to send my rpra membership card with it. It states in the british homing world orders must comply with rpra rule 98 association rings will only be issued by the general manager to members who must produce their membership card for the same year as the rings they wish to purchase. now as i want 2017 rings and cant produce this yet do i send my 2016 memberships card. I might had read this all wrong knowing me but if someone could let me know i would be grateful Take care everyone all the best kev spencroft kirkpatricks
