  1. its also good publicity for us as well when this happens just think on it someone sitting in the cafe having a nice meal and along comes mrs sparrow hawk tearing a pigeon to bits entrails all over the place yuk how long do you think they will put up with that

    NESTBOWLS

thats what i do and think the same as a lot of yearling cocks can be sore on the hen but having the bowl in i have found that the cock will call his hen into the bowl instead of chasing her all over the loft

  5. thats exactly what would happen ,sorry sight as it is but is it not better being a feral than a racing pigeon i see it constantly in my work and its not just hawks its seagulls and crows who mob the hawk and get the pigeon and also steal young out the nests this is nature in the raw not much we can do about it but i am of the opinion nature has its on way of working and sooner or later will hit back hard at all these predatators in some way that man wont have any control over and i mean the rspb
  6. does this muscle always have to be black ,does it not come in gold coloured as well jack ?and if it is narrow and deep then surely it is more benefit to the pigeon when it is racing on bright sunny days ?
  7. joe toal, also had a lot of Nash of croy blood a lot of pigeons containing joe toal blood are winning in the nationals was agreat flyer for the distance races
  8. john hunter at one time flew cattryse pigeons and was good at the distance but dont know if he still has them sad to see him go a lot of good pigeons there
  9. couldny comment on that wan lad sorry
  10. i have had them in my loft for the past three seasons and they are a great benefit to me in the winter when its to dark to clean them out ,they are ideal things to use and keep their feet clean but its best to draw your brush across them daily as i feel the droppings stick to them and in my case can build up a bit, wouldnt use any type of hopper system on them as to much feeding gets lost ,have also found its time consumming lifting them and then putting them back down ,in my case better used for winter as i am going back to the scrapper for the summer months ,hope this helps
