Nice story etc, "Congratulations". Been there done that, many a time !!!!!, since I was a boy. "But to me" that is what pigeon racing really is all about ????? the enjoyment of waiting ;D ;D ;D & dreaming as the day drags on & on & on : : : & at times into the next day :D it's really a fun sport then. But the men then come to the front of the pack !!!!! on most occassions when it's a bit tough, for what I have found. So it really doesn't matter whether, one is 1st or last etc, we are all winners in the end. At least in my view. Enjoy.

Fair enough comment & advise etc. "Work with computers" Well your a smarter man than me ;D ;D I'm hopeless !!!!!!! with them :D Not bad with a microscope thou (had a good teacher). Something you may like to consider in the future, & it's a facinating world. If you just happen to have a good one. I'm also just down the road from a vet (10 minutes) a world renowned one (Pigeons). Never spent a dollar there & I never will. He's rich enough !!!!!!, I'm not going to add to his bank balance : : : But he did teach me, about the microscope etc, so I'm very thankful for that. Just a bit of trivia for you. Awhile ago (Maybe even still today) he had a special offer on ??????? :D Spend $500 :D on any pigeon medication etc & he would give you a pigeon "Shocking" :) & I will let you figure it out here !!!!!!! how many of his birds I have :X :X :X. Welcome to all our new apprentices here of late ;D ;D ;D We are a pretty happy bunch (I think so anyway) which you have decided to join in your wisdom ?????? :P , & I have know doubt, that by the time you pass your apprenticeship here. I've used it in the past, 100% organic & I got it through my daughter etc, who works for a Naturopath (interesting field). But I'm afraid to say !!!!!, I was a wee bit dissapointed in it & I didn't really see all that much difference etc for the birds. But no harm in trying it, if it takes your fancy. I could tell you, a lot worse things you could give them ;D ;D ;D. Enjoy

Maybe not race horses etc as such ?????. But in the outback & the wild ;D ;D ;D there would be plenty of enjoyment at times ;) between brother & sister :D & there pretty tough. They have to be, to survive. So go ahead & mate brother & sister together, if you don't have any another option etc & don't worry to much about it. Chubs, each to their own as they say. But I find it extremely disappointing & sad for our sport etc, when I see someone like yourself, start off like you have " Re drugs etc". I know there may be 1 or 2 that are required by law, so to speak in your local area. But to continue on down the road that you appear to be headed in my view is wrong (I could be wrong) & the only person/persons at the end of the day, who will be better off. Are the vet's & drug company's etc. In my view, you would be just as well off, if you went to your local supermarket/asian store/chinese store or your local health food shop etc, & much of what you would buy, would be 1/4 of the price that your willing to pay etc & do the same thing, within reason. Finally !!!!!! ;D ;D ;D you have the greatest tool in front of you today (internet) "Use it", to it's maximum re pigeons etc, & not just this site. Go exploring & you will be amazed at what you may find at times. Enjoy.

On the news here last night, they said it was 5.2 on the rhictor scale etc. So I could imagine a few ????? ;D ;D ;D looking above for guidence, so to speak, & a few old lofts getting a bit of a rattle up !!!!!. Enjoy

Interesting topic & comments etc !!!!!!!. All my bins are wood (1500lb of feed etc) with vents in them under the house & I'm a great believer in using Gentian Violet Crystals as such in the wet weather here. Both on the feed & in the water etc. My view is, that it is very good if you just happen to have a fungal problem, which is caused by unclean lofts, feed or the weather at times, for what I have found.
