  1. Will happily do it Damien. I work at the local Conservative club and our MP is there at least once a week. make a change for me to actually want him to be there!!
  2. Second that one Frank It is incredibly hard to say who is the best in the United Kingdom, maybe it is more possible within Holland and Belgium to say who is the best due to the fact they seem to be better organised and more united than us over here.
  3. The club is planning on hiring out at £10 per year so cant complain at that. Can your club not apply for it ?
  4. Phil you sound the like the adults who used to nag me when i bunked school to go to NRCC marking or because the birds were racing. Your dead right though and wish i had listened then instead of having to go back in education at 22 to try and better myself.

Wattle try the Cleethorpes Imperial club - www.cleeimp.co.uk - They had several club clocks up for sale around £100 each. With buying from a club the one thing you know is that they have been well looked after if nothing else.
  6. I think Racer builds them - Maybe wrong though. What type are you after i know where there is 24 ply boxes (9 months old) and 40 slope backs perches for sale of they are any use.
  7. I would buy the loft if it was close by albeit at a more realistic price. Little bit of work would make a nice little kit box (not for 25 though!!)
  8. I paid for one, but i certainly have no hairs or graces about sticking it on ebay and getting one from the club.
  9. I dont necessarily think any are the best, i looked around and liked the Bricon as much for the fact i know i would get superb service from the agent closest to me (which has been proven right) Our club looks as though it will get the Awards for all grant for the Unikon which means i may just see if the Unikon is as good as i think my Bricon is.
  10. Bricon
  11. On what basis do you make the judgment please Zimmy?
  12. I would go for a STB, Benzing Paloma or T3 to start with - There must be 1000's of them left in cupboards at home now not being used so coming a cross a fair priced one shouldnt be hard. Leave the ETS until you have everything else you need.
  13. Not sure on actual prices now as got ours a while back (Bricon) I did hear from a good source that the Unikon will be increasing in price very shortly though due to strength of the Euro.
  14. I know when i cut my stock at the end of the season im screwed as dont think any are transfered - maybe worth paying someone a few quid to do it all for me. How you fixed Gail???
  15. Worth doing lol - I just bought a 12x6ft trailer for a similar purpose.
  16. My old training parter now offers training to all local members for something like 20p a bird which is fair value for a 35 mile chuck. If more people can work together to do such things it could help us all.
  17. At the minute work wise i am doing an average of 25 hours a week but i have always kept my finances seperate as best i can with the birds having there own pot. I will be reducing my overall amount of birds for 2010 by a minimum of 50%. At the moment the idea for next year is 12-16 widowhood pairs, 35 young birds and 16 pairs of stock (6 at stock partners) This is providing of course that the economy is still struggling as i think it will be.
  18. I can sell you a big 12x6ft trailer with a few baskets lol
  19. We do it and from this year will also do the stock birds as seen this year the results of not when a friend lost half his stock team. We dnt have strict rules in the club you do your own or get a friend to do it but quite often we have dont it ourselves and had a friend sign the form - Its maybe wrong but i know we done it and thats what matters to me.
  20. Just an idea for the two of you to consider - Why not arrange for the two nominated birds to be raced from the same loft - Such as Andys being sent to Paulo's and then they get the chance to compete a full WDA programme against each other (fingers crossed) If Paulo was to submit his ring number the day Whitenight's bird is to enter the loft it keeps it fair.

I was very lucky to have purchased two from Mick Betts in a recent sale and after speaking to Mick will make the trip over and try a few more from him at the same time. I have a few of the Clayburn soojten blood crossed into the Syndicate birds, in fact they are on loan this year at rory the reds down in Brighton - Lovely speciemens though.
  22. I think both the North road clubs we belong to have around 35 members each, some are members of both and some are not. The two north road clubs are situated less than a 60 second walk away and fly in the same Fed but due to past politics etc it will never happen that they merged to form one really fantastic club. Technically there is another North road club in the town however this is currently not in use but still has 30 members- Hopefully we will get this back in use at the AGM next month even if it is just used for midweek racing again.
  23. Thinking the same Alan
  24. Site looks good, all the best with the new National. Is the secretary the chap who comes on here??
  25. Shadow, must disagree with this comment. There is plenty of winners (manufacturers)
