  1. Ecalyptus oil - About £1.00 from any chemist Always makes my nasal passages feel clear when in the loft
  2. Praying this awful weather turns so i can train them this afternoon Not sure if the fed will cancel on Saturday for very sefish reasons i wont be bothered if they do - Gives me an extra week to try and get a 40 mile toss into them. Going to Steve Stokers in a few minutes and then back here clean the birds out and give the baskets a wash down. If the weather doesnt improve will then have the birds out to excersise around the loft Delicing them also at some point today
  3. 2nd picture, far right hand section (where the dog is snoozing) ;D There up for eviction shortly
  4. NWN i have had a similar situation to you, although i do find once the training has started they are a little more reluctant to fly at home. I suspected i had a touch of respitory in a few of the birds as there was a consistent pattern in those bringing the batch down - They have been on the treatment now 4 days and did an hour around the loft yesterday - I dont know for sure whether the treatment has spurred this on but i know the birds are not overweight at all so its the only thing i can put it down to.
  5. Looks good Jimmy Do you have a front view picture (want to look at the vents etc)
  6. Here is a picture of my lofts at the old address at the minute The 16ft Blakes loft at the side is sold and will be moved shortly The picture above is the loft that im racing my young birds to at the new address - As far as im aware this loft is going to another forum member once the YB season is over. All in all i will either have a new loft for next year (in line with what im told i am allowed) or modify the 32ft.
  7. Look exactly the same as those in my stock loft from Dave & Marks (But better lol) If you both fancy a job shortly i want a few more building - Quote by PM ;D
  8. Mine were consistent for me as yb's last year - Due to the move they are being started again at the new place . One winner i bred for a member on here was Van de rhee cross. Russ Skinner was 1st PDF, 1st Section, 2nd Open NRCC Lerwick with a van de rhee only about 3 weeks ago. (500 Miles)
  9. Not sure of anywhere that does it now mate i used to get it from Geoff Clare who in turn collected it from Holland (i think, Belg if not) Matrix is just as good though and easily sourced. I did try another one called Jon'z Pigeon supplement it was meant to be much better than Matrix and Pronagrit but jury remains out for me on that.
  10. I like Matrix must admit did prefer the Pronagrit but the exchange rate pushed the price up on that. I use matrix but also tend to use the Rohnfried picking stones also and alternate them about a little.
  11. Southern Pigeon couriers
  12. I really rate www.pigeoncourier.co.uk - I think he is amongst the very best in the business and also the one i use as first call everytime. He works in conjunction with SPC so i am sure between them they can do the job for you. SPC i have used several times and there service has always been good so between the two your pigeon is without doubt in good hands. In fairness though think most of the remaining couriers are top drawer
  13. We use it at the start of the season as in 3 weeks before anything. Im not convinced anything that does that to the birds cant have some short term side affects.
  14. No mate I have to speak with Pippa @ Orego later this week so will sort one for you again!
  15. No that's Derek - Good lad often used to collect and deliver the odd bird for me - Price = 2 pints of bitter - couldnt go wrong. If you dealt with them Steve was the 6ft bald bloke (Often had an Orego-stim hat on)
  16. Its all been noted lol ;D
  17. No Geoff has done away with the lorries now, Steve Stoker used to drive that for him.
  18. Lol I work for Geoff and he supplies PJ - Neither can get it as the bloke who makes it has been in bad health and just used my last bit tonight Still have the oil so may have to just struggle on with that unless i find some to buy from elsewhere.
  19. Does anyone use or have any of this stuff (that they dont use anymore) ??
  20. retired

    new loft

Very nice Do you fancy building another lol
  21. Would like to wish Peter.j the very best of luck tomorrow in his first ever pigeon race. Fingers crossed for you mate that the small team come good for you and do you proud.
  22. Sounds good you can pop over here then and deliver them birds ;D Will PM my postcode for you ;D Ps - Pick Peter & Grasshopper up on the way !
  23. Think the best of these probaly reside at Darren Peters Fenland Stud in East Heckington. Also Nick Adshead has lots of quality.
  24. Not fortunate to own such pedigrees yet, do own a few VDM though from Nick Adshead & Jakjak which are nice birds.
  25. My mate had these back in 1999 from a friend, they have formed the backbone of his present family of birds albeit with the odd cross in - He has done well with them over the years especially at 500 miles.
